McConnell will blast the president with an even longer dull, monotone speech. That’ll show ‘em!

"uncertain legal territory"

With a mealy mouthed response like that don't expect more than a "I strongly object!"

The problem is that the RINOs probably support this Unconstitutional maneuver.

Reid has given the OK even though the Senate is still considered in session. So basically it’s a dead issue. Boner or McConman won’t do a damn thing about it.

We THE PEOPLE can fight back by ignoring anything coming from an unconstitutionally established office.

“You said we have to WHAT?”

“Who are YOU?”

Obama is raping our great country and the repubs in congress do nothing to stop him. I suppose they are afraid he might throw down that scary little race card again, but they need to understand that it does not trump the law.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and predict they will do nothing. The limit of what they’ll do is what McConnell just said.

Ever get the feeling this whole political charade is like a big long soap opera? It’s all pre-written and stage-managed, and not very well directed. I wonder if politicians have to have a Screen Actors Guild card in order to be elected...

Did the republicans say “legal doubts”, or is that the media’s take?

Because what McConnell SHOULD have said was “It would be illegal and unconstitutional for Obama to attempt a recess appointment while the Senate is in session, and therefore no appointment can be made at this time”.

There’s no point in leaving any question about it. If they let Obama get away with this, there’s really nothing stopping him from “recess appointing” a new Supreme Court justice or two, even though there is no vacancy.

Start talking publicly about impeachment.

Tell the media why (F&F, solyndra, and 291 other reasons).

This President is breaking the Constitution and instituting a fascist state on us with no shots fired.

Neither he nor Boner will do a damn thing. They’re RINOs who don’t want to hurt their chances to be invited to parties and elbow rub events in D.C.

They’re both worthless and useless.

Checked the Senate web-site for its calender. Senate convened for a Pro Forma session at 11:00 yesterday and will do so at Noon on Friday. Flag above the chamber.

What happens if Senator Reid says:

(1) that the Senate really DID recess at five minutes before midnight on New Year’s Eve for five minutes,

(2) that during that five-minute period “the one” made many, many “recess appointments” (all strictly legal-like) and

(3) gotcha!

It’s not “uncertain legal territory.”

It’s flat wrong.

If the majority-GOP House of Representatives, which controls all spending, had the backbone God gave a slug, they’d revoke all spending authorizations for Cordray’s agency.

If they don’t do that, it means they have no objections to this appointment.

Not to be a jerk or anything but how is it going out on a limb to say that the stupid party will do nothing but whine?
