Congress has the power of the purse strings.....

Simply defund the entire department.

He can appoint all he wants, but where will the funds come from?

It looks to me as if i-bama is deliberately trying to provoke a Constitutional crisis. It might behoove us to ask ourselves why? Something deeper is going on here.

How can you defund the entire department this fiscal year? The Omnibus spending bill has already been passed by Congress and signed by Obama. Moreover, the Reps only control the House. How would you get a defunding bill thru Congress.

He has gotten away with all of his Czars, their funding and staff. GOP seems to protest only in the media.

That was the first question that came to mind for me also. I look at this as one of many ways he will try to achieve the next 'stimulus,' i.e., buying votes. That is all it is about. He doesn't care about 'protecting consumers;' not when he and the missus et al spend 2+ weeks of vacay at a luxury Hawaiian resort while Americans struggle to make ends meet.
