Acting Like A King Isn't Among The President's Duties

Leadership: A spokesman says the president "can't wait for Congress to act" and promised that he's "going to take action." This is the president who was "ready to rule" in 2008. Is he an elected chief executive or an emperor?

In November 2008, shortly after Barack Obama was elected president, Valerie Jarrett, co-chair of his transition team, appeared on "Meet the Press." She told host Tom Brokaw that "Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one."

Shouldn't someone who had reached the political heights that Jarrett had reached know that kings rule but presidents are elected to serve and are accountable to Congress, the courts and the voters?

One would think that she and the rest of the administration are aware of a president's legal limitations, but simply aren't interested in respecting them.

A little more than three years after Jarrett declared Obama's majesty, his spokesman Jay Carney warned on the day of the Iowa caucuses that "if Republicans choose the path of obstruction rather than cooperation, then the president is not going to sit here . .. he's going to take the actions that he can take using his executive authority."

Within a day, Obama made good on the threat. On Wednesday, he bypassed the congressional approval process and named Richard Cordray as head of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The appointment, made while the Senate is in a pro forma session and not in recess, came after that chamber blocked Cordray's confirmation last month.

Not only is Obama trampling precedent that says recess appointments are to be done only after the Senate has been out of session for 10 days or more, he's also trying to circumvent legislation.

So who’s going to stop him?

Thought so.

Why don’t you little people go pay your taxes? Your government is broke.

Obama is not a king. He is a lawless thug, an egotistical totalitarian wanna-be ruler who, presently, is running out-of-control with no control from the Congress.

Obama needs to be impeached for his lawlessness, his total disregard for political process and precendent, all to deliberately oppose, bully and taunt America, its government, its laws, and its people.

What say Congress? Are you still functioning and protecting our Constitution?

The DC Congress acts as if there are no laws or regulations preventing the evil one Obama from doing what he will at his whim. He does indeed act like a dictator.
Yet it is the duty of Congress and the judicial authority to stop the damn lawbreaking fool thief and liar from stealing power from the respective branches.
And it seems they may yet back down again as they have many times before. This is an evil day indeed.

We have, at best, 5 or 6 republicans that might try to do something to combat what is happening. I'm not optimistic about it.

The alien perspective still shines through... Africans and mid easterners view leadership as being “rulership”.

“shortly after Barack Obama was elected president, Valerie Jarrett, co-chair of his transition team, appeared on “Meet the Press.”

“She told host Tom Brokaw that “Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one.”

This administration has gone from bad to worse. And it is difficult to say whether they have been worse in domestic or international “ruling,” it has been that bad.

So who’s going to stop him?

Exactly. He only does it because the congress is all too happy to turn around and bend over. Better that than doing anything that might draw attention to their own outrageous activities.

So start articles of impeachment in the House Judiciary committee. If he’s going to act the tyrant then the House needs to show him for what he is.

Obama is not a King. He is a mob boss. If you always look at him as a mob boss, and always look at his wife as the wife of a mob boss, everything they do makes perfect sense.

I heard the democrats say multiple times that one of the NLRB appointments is a Republican. "Republican" was used over and over to justify his choices and actions.

Why can't a person with a brain on the "Republican" side say the Stimulus bill was partisan, not one "Republican' voted for it, Obama care was partisan, not one Republican voted for it and the DOdd/Frank bill was partisan, not one Republican voted for it, so NOW BO is being "fair" by talking about a Republican appointment?

And the press and his staff, same thing I know, throw out that "Republican" word all the time and pronounce it with a snarly hard R, it is disgusting. Not one person on our team says democrat, one party rule and dictatorish!

“Obama is not a king. He is a lawless thug.”

Nah. Not at all. He is a brilliant, really really smart,
intelligence-off-the-scales, genius of a Progressive who is super-human in his being and worthy of being worshipped as one who is far more advanced than the non-Progressive human cattle who surround him.

/Sarcasm/
