King Barack’s (Unconstitutional) power grab
ny post ^ | 1/5/2012 | staff

President Obama yesterday played a violent game of kickball with the US Constitution, making a number of high-level “recess” appointments — even though the Senate isn’t actually in recess.

He named former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Board, a nomination Republicans have been fighting.

And then he named three new members of the pro-union activist National Labor Relations Board.

Presidents have the right to make temporary appointments when Congress is away from Washington, of course, and both parties have used that power.

But Obama is the first president to declare that he, and he alone, can decide whether the Senate — which must confirm his appointments — is actually meeting.

In order to block recess appointments, the Senate intentionally has been holding pro forma sessions every few days, each of which lasts only a few seconds.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — with then-Sen. Obama’s support — did the same thing in 2007 to block any recess appointments by President George W. Bush.

Americans should be LIVID about this! But they aren’t...

Because they are getting the media spin version on the local news before they go to bed.

Congress can do something about it all by themselves.

The SCOTUS is not necessary.

The problem is, the ‘Will’ is lacking and they just don’t have the back bone to do it.

4 more years will turn into something much longer, I’m afraid.

His arrogance will start a Civil War.

You say that like that would be a bad thing.

The lib press is fond of telling us that without Obama there will be blood in the streets. They neglect to say that with Obama there will be blood in the streets.

Direct from the Massachusetts' 'Kennedy Seat'
Scott Brown said he absolutely supports
Obama's antiConstitutional behavior and decision to name Richard Cordray.

Is this not GOP Confirmation of Obama's
antiConstitutional, if not treasonous, behavior?

Exactly my thoughts as well. I believe he’s jab-pushing Uncle Sam as he is surrounded by fellow gangbanger’s trying to cause a reaction so they can jump him, and beat him down typical of the sort of Street Punk he is.

I think the more brazen moves such as this by Obama, and Co. are by design to start conflict for a specific purpose.

I believe he, they are trying to draw out, and force a showdown so they can use their influence with the MSM to blame the Republicans for all our woes by diverting the focus away from the Democrats destruction to our Constitution, our way of life.

Living in a country that doesn’t follow it’s Constitution is worse than a Civil War. At least if your state(s) manages to fight it’s way out of this stinking union it will be able to start over.

The correct term is ‘Corporatism’.
Obama and the ‘Progressives’ are following the collective agenda to a ‘T’. However, in other countries, the proletariat revolted and had to be put down. Here, they seem to chose to be slaves than poor.
Some of us do not make good slaves.

How do you know they aren't livid? He just did it. Takes time for the news to get out about what this means.

Frankly, the Constitution leaves us few options ~ which is why the Speaker calling out the militia may well be the only one that can get "their" attention.

He's running for office in Massachusetts. You do know what that means, right?

Tell you what, when Boehner calls out the militia he should send a detachment up there to start rounding up Democrats and holding them pending conclusion of the hostilities.

It's easy to do there ~ just build a fence around the state. Put a half dozen guards on duty to shoot anyone who tries to get in or out. Then wait.

Finding enemies of the Republic in that state is a trivial problem ~ they are all enemies as far as anyone can tell.

Oh, yeah, and cut off their electric power and fuel oil. Let'em freeze to death in the dark this winter.

They'll begin to see the error of their ways.

Again, this calls for precipitate action. Call out the militia.

Obama is showing his desperation here.

Remember, everything he does now is tied to getting re-elected, and he’s a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER. (Shakedown artist).

I’ll bet his donations are not coming in as expected.

So, he’s in a hurry to get this appointment in place, in order to begin to shakedown an industry for protection money/donations to the campaign.

“Give me a donation for my campaign and we’ll exempt you from the pinch we’re going to put on your industry”.

Look for the non-bank money services industry-pay day loans, title loans, check cashing, buy-here-pay-here entities, to be vilified incessantly. They will threaten to cap interest rates, fees, etc. in the name of protecting the consumer.

“I’m the only one standing between you and the pitchforks”.

It will be easy to identify the ones who will have “donated”. They’re the ones who will be exempted.

This is what community organizers do.

Question: What exactly is anybody going to do about it?
Answer: NOTHING!

Taking an example from the Catholic Church, after Vatican II, situation ethics became all the rage. Basicaly, if it felt good, do it. Today, the BOHICA Party’s two factions operate under different rules. The progressives/reformers operate under situation ethics while the conservatives/traditionalsts operate under the rules. Then, as now, we lost.

So long as one party rules, we are the losers.
