GM to call back 8,000 electric Chevy Volts -- report (ALL 8,000 Volts sold)

General Motors plans to ask Volt owners to bring their electric cars into dealers to strengthen the structure around the batteries, according to a report.

The move is similar to a recall and involves the 8,000 Volts sold in the U.S. in the past two years.

Air bag thefts are a money maker so I’m guessing that battery thefts will be also. It’s not like it’s a regular battery you can pick up at Auto Zone.

It’s a “Call Back”- where they bring the cars in for repair

Which is VERY DIFFERENT than a horrible “Recall” - where they bring in the cars for repair
