The young people of today love them some Ron Paul. He's like Kelly Clarkson of GOP candidates. Hell, he's so much like the pop star Kelly Clarkson, she endorsed him. However, until now, many people have attempted to just brush off this youth support as nothing but a bunch of stoners. An endorsement he received today might sting a little more though. It comes from the 19 year old nephew of Rick Santorum.
The nephew, John Garver, wrote a column over at the Daily Caller in which he says Americans should only elect his uncle if they “want another big-government politician who supports the status quo to run our country.” Ooh, that hurts.

He continues:
“It is because of this inability of status quo politicians to recognize the importance of our individual liberties that I have been drawn to Ron Paul. Unlike my uncle, he does not believe that the American people are incapable of forming decisions. He believes that an individual is more powerful than any group (a notion our founding fathers also believed in).
…
Ron Paul seems to be the only candidate trying to win the election for a reason other than simply winning the election.”
Popular Tumblrer Stacy Lambe linked to the column saying that he knows Garver’s family and that, in the extended Santorum clan, they are the “black sheep.”
If they weren’t before, they certainly are now.

Oh, well. Every family has a nutcase somewhere in it.
Not everyone who supports Ron Paul is a nutcase, but enough of them are to make a difference and those who are not are being misled.
I don’t support Santorum but this is a little inappropriate. His parents should have raised him better and he should know that the only reason he got to write this is because he is Santorum’s nephew.
Oh yeah, I've heard of this guy. His endorsement is HUGE!
Well, at least somebody in the Santorum family favors limited government.
If you look at Ron Paul’s supporters, a SIGNIFICANT number of them are actually YOUNG PEOPLE ( Santorum’s nephew being one of them ).
Go Figure. The OLDEST candidate has the MOST NUMBER of YOUNG supporters...

He responded to this last night at a townhall meeting. He said He has 35 nieces and nephews and 1 is just going through a phase, lol :). He said he loved his nephew too. :)

Ron Paul is dead on when he speaks of domestic issues, but a total lune when he speaks of foreign affairs.

I was a Paul voter in 08. I still like him although Paul goes further out than I do on a few things. I haven't decided yet for this year. Not Romney is as far as I'm committing.
