In the meantime, Iraq descends into anarchist squalor days after U.S. troops leave for political reasons.

I suspect this is an action to provide Israel with a protective covering of US troops who will serve as a ‘trip wire’ to prevent the radicals in Iran from bombing Israel when they get their nuke(s).

I wonder if the PA is re-thinking their rocket program aimed at Israel.

This is the same type of guaranteed reactive force we provided S. Korea against N. Korea’s maniac dictators.

And the West Europeans against Russia during the Cold War for that matter.

The US is busy with Israel developing the Arrow missle program, which has sister programs beging developed by Japan and Germany outstide of the US development of this line of missile technology.

The fact that we are testing joint forces just goes to show that Iran via Syria has armed terrorist proxy forces with 70,000 missiles to rain down on Israel.

Personally, if I were Israel and these guys starting firing thousands of missiles on my country I would use the nutron bombs/clean nukes on them leaving the infrastruce in place the bones as a waring to any further aggressors from Islam. Maybe after about six weeks when the radiation disapates, go in and pour pig's blood on the bunkers, trenches and remains....

No way these troops are being used for offensive purposes against Iran.

I’m not a military person, but I’d expect if we were going to move against Iran, we would base our operations in either Kuwait or Afghanistan..... Or both.

And in November the Air Force announced it had received the first of its order of 30,000 lb Massive Ordinance Penetrators, a huge bunker busting bomb.

A message is being sent to Iran, but I doubt that the Twelvers running the show care. They think a big stinking war is just what is needed to bring the return of their Mahdi.

If Iran wants to have its Navy at the bottom of the Persian Gulf let it try and stop the flow of oil through the Straits of Hormuz. Even Urkel won’t allow that to happen.

Just speculation…

Obama moving troops to Israel offsets criticism that he’s not supporting them. Contemporaneously, this and other acts heighten tensions with Iran intentionally, which serves Obama as the Republican candidates will frenzy to out posture each other with ever tougher stances on Iran. Thereby, Obama looks to be the moderate in-between Ron Paul and the Republican field.

First I hav e seen anything about this. Guess I’ve been following Santorum and Gingrich too closely.

If anything happens here — it would switch votes to Gingrich immediately. He is the only one who is lion-hearted enough to be a Winston Churchill.
