He estimates the state faces a $9.2 billion general fund deficit through June 2013, which he proposes to bridge with mostly cuts and taxes.

How else would he bridge the gap, go to Vegas and put it all on red?

And stampeding business and wage earners like me out of the state. That has worked really well!

Keep subsidizing sloth, illegal aliens and asking the hard workers to pay for it all and you, too, can have a liberal paradise.

Bullsh*t. The tax increases will be set in stone while some liberal judge will throw the cuts out.

The Democrat-dominated state legislature can’t very well rail at Governor Moonbean, now can they? After all, he isn’t the Governator, whom they LOVED to hate, and could use their best riposte and rhetoric bouncing it off Ahnold.

California has become essentially a Third World country in so many aspects. It is a wonder that ANYTHING functions out there any more.

If they grew bananas there, we could call them a banana republic. Certainly a lot of other fruits running around that state.

California public education = Fail. It is the highest cost per capita in the country. 50% of seniors cannot read and write, nor know who George Washington was. Cut away. Then take out the machette.

Proposed...right there in the first sentence.

They never cut money from welfare. I guess in November we will see how his tax hike goes.

Brown proposed Thursday slashing nearly $1.4 billion in welfare...while holding voters liable for $5 billion in education funding greedy union-thug teacher pensions and benefits.

I may be wrong, but I think Cali is about the only state that doesn’t have any time limits on welfare or a welfare-to-work policy.
