I like the way she thinks!
You gotta be kidding me that any mom thought that was an appropriate year book photo.
I think this was done on purpose to generate publicity as a short cut to a modeling or acting career.
Funny, when I was in high school, our senior pictures had all the girls picture din the same way, a top with neck and shoulders slightly but modestly exposed. A girl from the Nazarene church refused to pose this way, and so was consigned to the back page of he annual. But she just took her medicine.
She looks like a ho!
I think I’m on the school’s side of this issue.
Seriously, if she wants to remember how hot she thought she was, when she was 17, get some private pics taken and preserve them.
A school year book is supposed to be something dignifying, not something you end up regretting.
NOT GUILTY !
audition for porn star....not really appropriate for high school IMHO
>>Censorship is wrong.
Then how about topless? Bottomless? Explicit?
Sydney, your mom is showing about as much intelligence now as when she named you. You wanna post sexy photos of yourself, do it on Facebook (and be ready for the consequences).
All you prudes:
All she’s doing is climbing the stairs to get ready to do her pole dance.
No problem!
Hopefully the teen will be able to use that picture. That way, 20 years from now when she is broken down and living in a trailer with her 4th baby daddy, people will be able to rummage through her old year book, find that picture and think “OK, it all makes sense now.”

Ah youth! If I was 30, er that is 40, No,No, 45 years younger I wouldn’t mind taking her up La Plata Canyon to see the mountain ranges from the top.
Oh wait, La Plata Canyon is closed in winter. Oh well, how about a trip to Lemon Dam or Valcito!
Slut pix are not appropriate for yearbooks....I wonder if she has a different view of “headshots” than the rest of us.
Oh, we teachers fight this every day in the public schools. High school girls come to school dressed like this every single day even though it violates the dress code at every school I’ve ever worked at!
We call parents who often DEFEND this type of dress! I’ve also heard from parents, “well, she’s wearing more than you’d see at the beach!” Well, this ISN’T the beach! It’s a place of business.
Some of the girls change before they get to school at a friend’s house or in the girls’ bathroom. My very brave colleague asks parents why they allow their daughter to attend school every day dressed like a hooker
My daughter once asked me why girls came to her school dressed like this, I told her it’s because THAT’s all they’ve got. Funny, I never see girls dressed like this in the honors or AP classes.
Not appropriate for a high school yearbook.
And yes, to answer a previous query: Put cameras in the classrooms! I have NO problem with the public getting a good, honest view of what goes on behind school doors.
Did her parents allow her to wear that hooker outfit? What were the parents and teachers thinking? Is she in the glitzy pageant world? It looks like something that toddler wore.
Leave it out of the yearbook and let her tantrum all she wants.
“I’m appalled that the administration disregarded the original vote by the student editors”
That’s the very reason why all student publications have oversight from school administrators. Not that they are necessarily geniuses, but they do know what school policy and code issues are, and they’re the ones ultimately liable for a bigtime screwup, not the students.
As far as censorship goes, I know of no constitutional right to a racy yearbook photo. As long as the school’s dress policy has been consistent, I would imagine there is very little the ACLU or the student and her mother can do.
I think this is all a big publicity stunt anyway. Mom and daught looking for their 2 minutes of fame and maybe a chance at some of that reality shlock money.
good lord..
Steven Hirsch has the ink dry honey...
Does she have a back problem?
If I were her dad I’d make her wear a brace to straighten her posture.
