Of course they are griping. They would have gone apesh*t is Bush had done this. you would have heard them screaming across America. The Commies love it, but if the GOP wins in 2012 they are really going to go ballistic with this sitting there. Then they will start screaming FEMA camps... again.

Very thought provoking discussion between Ann Barnhardt and Warren Pollock
Ann Barnhardt and Warren Pollock have an open conversation organized to provide background to this crisis [MF GLobal and banking/investment leveraging/collapse], the setting of legal precedent, netting, settlement, and future trends including a potential bank holiday. We talk about MF Global as it applies to savings and commercial banking, brokerage, insurance, and commodities. We talk about numeric impossibility of solving the problem, incest between government and finance, having the victim of the crisis pay rather than the fraudster. We explain how the MF Global bankruptcy process will define how customer funds will be treated in a bank holiday. We talk about the idea of having an honest bank holiday to root out fraud vs an economic crisis which plays to looting and criminal activity of vested interest.

This will make your hair stand on end as you realize how close we may be to the whole house of cards collapsing. We are already seeing an unprecedented breakdown of the rule of law in this case, and their warning is it could happen to any/all of the major investment banks at any time. A perfect storm of economic disaster - and perfect excuse for martial law.

“Of course “our” side generally has a job to go to. “Their” side can get paid for getting in our faces.”

I know, that is the painful part. It doesn’t change the facts though.

Those Tea Partys, the signs, the words, were also a way to educate and alert people to what was going on. They sure don’t get it from the media.

They were a way to be seen and let the American people see that we know what is going on and we are going to stay on it.

I think most people think the Tea Party just faded away.

A “mob” showed up in Washington DC September 2009. It was made up of regular middle-class folks concerned about the direction Obama was taking the country with his takeover of healthcare, and his lack of fiscal restraint with our money. Whoever the “powers-that-be” are got scared. These people who were mad enough to spend their own money to get there are the backbone of the country. The “powers” didn’t want to hear any talk of “revolution” coming from them. Suddenly the narrative turned to making change thru elections. Tea party candidates won in 2010. Now it appears the Dems and Rinos are trying to triangulate them out of existence as “racists” and “those who will not compromise.” Then they can get back to business as usual. They know from past experience that people have short memories. My feeling is change will come only when people feel their personal lives are being threatened in some way. The media will continue their happy talk up until the election so everyone stays calm and goes along with the program, thinking things are getting better. If Obama is re-elected-—I don’t like to think about what will happen.....

You said a mouthful. And it was well-said!

I’ve written this before, I’ll say it again.

As the nation “divides” (as it did previously in the mid-nineteenth century), and a “separation” looms on the horizon, there will be only two choices:
That that separation be peaceful, or, the “other choice”.

Those who are conservative and embrace “the old values” that came from our Scots-Irish-British forbears would wish to simply go their own way in peace, to live as they wish, within their own value system, and let those from whom they are “separating” live however they want. Simply stated, “we won’t bother you, and ask that you don’t bother us”.

The left, however, will NEVER permit this. They will use the full force of the government, including whatever actions are required by the military (and increasingly “militarized” police) to prevent conservatives from leaving. It won’t matter how much damage they have to inflict to achieve this goal. For the left will only be “satisfied” (aside: will they _ever_ be “satisfied”?) after they have succeeded in grinding down those who would dare disagree with them, with the boots of power.

Who will win?

“People have been warned not to cross the line in opposition. Death threats to them and their families.”

What is your source for this information?

“He now decides to give defensive missle technology to the Russians. “

I think it is possible he had contact and/or indirect support from kgb contacts that would have been around the kind of crowd he apparently hung with in college. Also, the russians had him alone in siberia for a few hours while he was in the senate, which I suspect was really a debriefing/discussion.

In other words, the russians have tremendous influence/blackmail power over him.

Well I am very saddened by our current state, and the problem that most AMericans do not care or understand just where we are now. Hell 4 years ago I was posting here about how we are mostly fascist and I was derided, now everyone has made it to the party.

actually, pogroms do seem pretty common historically when late-life republics finally fall into overt dictatorships. The pogroms of marius and sulla are terrifying to read, because they seem so possible in the future here. Don’t you wonder what kinds of non-public lists DHS has made?

We think everything can be accomplished playing by the rules.

We can only maintain electricity and excitement for short periods of time.

The Left is in revolution mode for the long haul.

Our side is blind to it: still playing by the rules.

We’re cloberring our conservative candidates to death right now.

Yes, the GOP-E is the stupid party: it wants Romney.

You left out, “Start a war” so the voters rally behind the President, declares marshal law and locks up all, under NDAA, who oppose his illegal war, and they are never heard from again.

Why? Because a lot of legislators are middle-class going in, and very rich coming out. Holding to principle is hard when abandoning it is very, very lucrative.

Names gleaned from NFA, C&R FFL, and CCW lists among others. I may be prominent!

I wonder if there was a newspaper in the 1930’s in Germany with a similar article:

* Sorry, defense authorization isn’t opening the door to a liberal police state.

07 JAN 34 DATELINE MUNICH-Can a mundane defense authorization law create a Hitler dictatorship? Many people on the political right and left have been alarmed by language in the 2012 National Socialist Party Defense Authorization Act (NSPDAA) that they argue authorizes the Führer to use military force to capture, detain, torture and kill fellow countrymen at home and abroad. The furor centers on Sections 1021 and 1022 of the law, which deal with detaining terrorist suspects. Specifically at issue is to what extent the law allows the government to treat German citizens like enemies of the state.

The official word from the government, from the Führer’s own lips is: “There is nothing to worry about. When in history has the government EVER done anything to harm it's own people? Return to your home and sleep comforted by the fact that the government has things under total control.”*

*Not sure how he'll fare when the system collapses, though. I don't think he's trying to destroy it per se, just doesn't care what the consequences of extreme “redistribution” is and isn't worried about what happens when he runs out of other people's money. For all the rhetoric, the Tea Party doesn't have much of an endgame, at least not one that concerns him.*

Interesting point.

The first time that I heard an American seriously believing that Communism might be a good idea, I think I was in Jr High school.

It was explained to my friend that everyone would be making $27,000 (a long time ago) and what a great thing it would be. I thought about it and determined that after a very short time people would be making less than $27,000, because there would be no new business (what's the point?) and it would spiral down and down to where we would be earning only slightly more than the average Soviet worker.

For political advantage, I think that the Reids, Pelosis, OWS mobs, and Obama really do not care if everything is destroyed or not. They will look like heroes to people on the bottom for about five or ten years until the money runs out. Then America becomes a third world country, the world's economies are irreparably destroyed and set back hundreds of years, and the bottom is much lower than the glorious leaders lead the very useful ones to believe.

I think there is still a chance the govt may put us into camps. The Left rushes to the final solution quickly when they have a weak argument if the history of Communist countries is any indication.
