The only difference you have here over all the other examples throughout history is every successful grab for power like that has to have the full support of the military to accomplish it.

I do not believe that Baraq has anything near the amount of devotion of the troops to succeed in any type of coup now.

The first time he orders the military to do something against the people that is even under a shadow of constitutional law the leaders will remember their oaths, believe me on that.

You think that all the local police forces in flyover country are going to allow their people, their friends and neighbors, be set upon by these people and allow it to happen? Or for that matter the Governors? I can just see (my) Governor Mitch Daniels accepting something like that.

Also another HUGE differnce. Not many Jewish families in 1930s Germany had an AK-47. Stalins henchment never had to wonder if they would be shot dead.
And despite our weakened culture, there are still millions of Americans who will put a peacemaker on the tip of your nose and laugh in your face, if you showed up on their doorstep and said we are relocating you.

We still aren’t Europeans. They were sheep like we cannot even imagine.
