Honestly, I don’t either, this is Santorum’s 15 minute of fame, which I predict, will be quick to fade. It’ll come down to Gingrich vs. Romney and Romney seems to be pulling ahead. God knows he’s got the money to outlast everyone if he wants.

yep, it’s obvious to anyone without blinders on that Gingrich is the only one who can stop Romney. Santorum was pushed to the front because he would be the weakest candidate to stand up against Romney. Conservatives are being manipulated.

No matter what else happens, Gingrich is floundering and Santorum is rising. I see nothing that will change this. Gingrich supporters will soon feel like Perry supporters, or Cain supporters, or Bachmann supporters, or Palin...
Yes, but Newt had infidelity issues, so it was more important to raise a stink over that than to have an acceptably conservative nominee.
Anything else Newt has done, Santorum and the others have committed political sins equally as bad—e.g. Dede Scozzafava :: Arlen Specter, posing with Nancy Pelosi :: teaming up with Hillary Clinton… so on, so forth.

Romney’s plan has always been obvious. If he is able to take out Newt, he owns it.
However, the very second that Romney gets the nomination, Obama is guaranteed the election..... and on that day, the America we once loved and cherished is gone, perhaps forever.

Sorry, not even close. Gingrich has more baggage than the Atlanta Terminal. If they were all exposed to the general public, they would flee from him like they would a dead skunk. Even if you believe he is a solid conservative, he is a terrible candidate, especially against a ruthless machine that will make the most of his tawdry past, and I'm including in this his fronting for Fannie and Freddie when they were destroying our economy. Can you imagine what Jamie Goerlick would have to say about Gingrich's role with them? He'd be toast.
It’s becoming incresaingly clear that at one point in December, Newt had an excellent chance to beat Romney. That’s why the GOP-E, Romney and the MSM all went after him simultaneously. In the meantime, they were scared that a Peery or Bachmann could catch fire from Newt’s votes so they picked the most boring conservative in the group and started telling us about the “Santorum surge.” Now Newt is lying on the field bleeding and Santorum is fighting a gun battle with water pistol. This race was over in December. Newt led SC by 20 points...now Romney leads. Stick a fork in us boys and kiss the ring of the new McCain.
