Yes, sadly I think he will be pretty easy to bring down, and I think the Dems would really like Santorum to be the candidate for just that reason. He’s not a bad person and I am not trying to cut him down, but he’s going to be a push-over for them. He’ll be gentlemanly the way Bush was, and he’ll focus on his social conservatism because he really doesn’t have much in the way of policy. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a very lively or engaging personality, so even the personal attraction will wear off after a while.

The only good thing is that perhaps the GOP elite is beginning to acknowledge that people simply don’t want Romney, and that’s that. So what they want is to give us the least threatening (to the Dems) candidate instead.
