Happy New Year!
We were so busy in 2011 that it seems like a blur that flew by. At a time when the mainstream media keeps pushing the notion that the Tea Party is losing its influence, I think that it is important to look back on all that you and I accomplished in 2011. We can be very proud of all that we have done and use it as motivation to fight for Tea Party values in 2012.
Here are some of the highlights of 2011:
Organized the first Tea Party response, by Michele Bachmann, to the State of the Union.
Helped launch the first meeting of the U.S. Senate Tea Party Caucus
Conducted the first Tea Party Townhall in Washington with Tea Party Senators and Congressman
Conducted a Wisconsin State Bus Tour to defeat big unions attempt to take control of the Wisconsin Senate by recalling conservatives. We defeated the unions and kept control of the Senate
Successfully defended Justice Prosser and defeated liberal attempts to take over the Wisconsin Supreme Court
Conducted our 5th coast-to-coast national bus tour to give presidential candidates a chance to make their case to Tea Party activists
Hosted the CNN/Tea Party Express Presidential Debate in Tampa, Florida
Petitioned Congress and kept the pressure on them to adhere to Tea Party principles
We initiated, organized and continue host a national weekly Tea Party radio program
Conducted two tea party rallies in Nebraska endorsing conservative Republican Jon Bruning and targeting Senator Ben Nelson who has subsequently quit running rather than face defeat
Led a rally in Massachusetts to target liberal Congressman Barney Frank who has declined to now run for re-election
Traveled to Indiana to endorse State Treasurer Richard Mourdock against RINO Republican Richard Lugar for the U.S. Senate.

Thanks to your dedication, passion and generous support, together we were able to make a real difference in the political landscape of this country in 2011.
As the Tea Party says goodbye to 2011 and we enter into 2012 strong and unified, we must remember all that we have done together and remain unified. Our power and influence scares the political establishment on both sides of the isle, the mainstream media and the business-as-usual crowd - that is why they attack and try to discredit us!
2012 is going to bring the election and fight that we have all been preparing and waiting for.
In 2012, we here at the Tea Party Express are committed to work our hardest to defend Governor Walker against the union-led recall, to maintain control of the House, to take control of the Senate, and to make Obama a one-term President!
We here at the Tea Party Express will continue to be guided by our motto of "Restore Liberty-Honor the Constitution" and our 6 basic principles:
- No more bailouts
- Reduce the size and intrusiveness of government
- Stop raising our taxes
- Repeal Obamacare
- Cease out-of-control spending
- Bring back American prosperity and jobs

On to 2012!
The union-led Recall in Wisconsin is less than two weeks away from the deadline to collect signatures, and reports show that they may have already obtained the amount required to Recall Governor Walker.
The recall effort says that they are close to collecting the 720,000 signatures that they plan on turning in on January 17th.

We have been telling you that the Obama campaign is using this Recall to engage his extremist Union and OWS base in November presidential election by dumping money into defeating Walker and his conservative solutions. Walkers courage and bold policies are a threat to Obamas agenda and his re-election prospects.
.
Tea Party Express is working with Gov. Walker and other Tea Party groups in Wisconsin to fight back! Our very own Amy Kremer chatted with Gov. Walker while filling in on The Roger Hedgecock Radio Show last month. Amy and Gov. Walker were able to discuss the critical nature of this Recall and the astounding economic progress Wisconsin has seen since Walker took office.
Tea Party Express is continuing to defend Walker
We traveled across Wisconsin this past summer, holding rallies to defeat the first wave of the union Recalls. This battle, however, is on a much larger scale as MoveOn.org, George Soros, and the OWS movement converge in Madison, Wisconsin to defeat Walker and deliver the first victory of Obamas re-election campaign.

The Tea Party Express bus rolling through Wisconsin holding rallies and supporting the Republican Senators facing recalls in 2011
The Tea Party Express not only helps to elect conservatives, but also defends them when they make the hard, but courageous decisions. Join the Tea Party Express and send Obama a message: We the People will NOT be bullied and we will NOT be silenced! We are here to fight for our country and defend the principles she was founded on!

I didn't make it to the Hillsdale rally this year but here are a couple of photos from the stop in Jackson Mi. 2010.

Absolutely not. but thanks for letting me know what the TPE is really supporting.
How does the TPE get Pauls support when he says the TEA Party is Corporate owned?
Or is there a “secret” Tea Party we don’t know about?

Oh my, you took me seriously. (Maybe)
I thought posting that Paul started the tea party in 1954 should show that I was kidding.
It looks like it was a "serious" question.
I don't really think you are that naive, but if that is the way you want to play it, OK.
Sorry, I cannot believe anyone with any knowledge of the Tea Party Movement, the Tea Party Express and Ron Paul could seriously wonder if the TPX supported Ron Paul.
Here's the answer I should have given you.
No, the TPE does not support Ron Paul.
So yes, I guess I could say that there is there a "secret Tea Party we dont know about.
Ron Paul started it in 1773.

Synco, tell the TPE to get down to S.C. and stump for Newt ASAP. If Newt doesn’t get S.C. Romney is a done deal. We have to cut him off in S.C. Santorum or Perry can’t do it. Newt is our last hope to save the country. Anyone who can’t see that is whistling past the graveyard.

I think they would both be covered in Reduce the size and intrusiveness of government.
But they both need to be priorities, expecially (in my view) the Dud/Frank thingie
Here's a current article on NDAA
US: Only 1 In 4 Americans Approved National Defense Authorization Act Poll
Written by: Eurasia Review
January 7, 2012
Only one in four likely voters (24%) say they approve of the National Defense Authorization Act, and only 4% say they strongly support it, according to a recent poll. The question of whether or not likely voters approve or disapprove of the NDAA was asked after the act was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, but before signing by President Barack Obama on New Years Eve.
According to an IBOPE Zogby Interactive survey, Republicans (30%) are more likely to say they support the NDAA than Independents (22%) and Democrats (21%).
Critics of the act say it includes provisions to authorize the military to detain U.S. citizens without trial, while supporters say the wording is a hedge to help fight terrorism, according to the poll.
Additionally, thirty-eight percent of likely voters say they oppose the NDAA as it was approved by the House, while another 38% say they are not sure.
The IBOPE Zogby International survey of 2,310 likely voters was conducted from December 22-26. A sampling of IBOPE Zogby Internationals online panel, which is representative of the adult population of the U.S., was invited to participate. Slight weights were added to region, party, age, race, religion, gender and education to more accurately reflect the population. The margin of error is +/- 2.1 percentage points. Margins of error are higher in sub-groups.

Well it did shock me Syncro! As long as I’ve read your post that one threw me for a loop. But there has been so much craziness on FR the last couple of months, who knows.
I had gone to the TPX site and they were lamenting Bachmann leaving the race and didn’t mention any other candidate but Paul. So I made an asumption. (and you know what assuming does)
Sorry if I offended you.
PS, I have a slow leak in my brain. (no shit) maybe that’s what is the problem.

Speaker Boehner sidetracked and chumped the Tea Party Caucus on repeal of Obamacare.
He changed the subject to debt ceilings and appropriations levels and the budget -- and I didn't hear the word "Obamacare" come up all summer!
Boehner took Obamacare completely off the table, and the dirty little secret is that the Fortune 500 companies and the captains of the Republican Yacht Club (but I repeat myself) want Obamacare -- so they can wipe their company healthcare plans off the books, pocket the premiums, and throw their employees on the tender mercies of Obama's Soviet doctors and undertakers.
