When you’re spending your wad of cash on social programs, it doesn’t leave a whole lot left for the other things, like military.

If someone had told me 50 years ago that in the future, the Royal Navy’s mightiest ship would be a destroyer, I would have assumed the country had collapsed.

Now that I think about it, that is not too far off.

And O-Bozo is about to make the U.S. Navy the same.

The one thing I’ve never understood about Western use of naval power.

We don’t use it.

Why weren’t the Western navies out for blood off Somalia shutting down these joke pirates? We have these highly advanced warships and let goons in speed boats hold world shipping hostage.

Like they’d show any more backbone against Iran.

Mothballed, scrapped, or sold off to pay for the utopian welfare state giving everything to the muzzies.

We’ll be lucky to have a destroyer. 0’s navy would be a frigate powered by sail and rowing crews when there is no wind.

I think tioga was wondering the same thing I was: what happened to all the Royal Navy ships above destroyer class?

Doesn't the RN have any aircraft carriers or submarines on active service?

Our military is only for nation building, not for defending our borders or direct maritime interests.

I think we need a bunch of movable reefs to tear out the bottoms of the Iranian Navy.
