A Houston-area Democrat serving in the House is hailing President Obama’s controversial recess appointment of a former Ohio attorney general to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
...Obama resorted to the step after Cordray’s Senate confirmation had been sidetracked for months.

The GOP lawmakers claimed the new agency would impede economic recovery with regulations on financial institutions. Democrats favor the agency, claiming it will protect consumers from some of the financial irregularities that contributed to the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.

Another thread was noted that Obama was gloating as he went to the office and addressed the 100 employees of the office that had until now no leadership to pursue the goals of the new bureau, and he said to the effect he was there to help Cordray move into his new office...sump’n like that. ANYWAY, my point: 100 employees sitting around at whatever cost with nothing to do ‘cause this guy wasn’t confirmed by the Republican’s!?

I think this move was to shore up Barry’s Liberal base. He is going to cave on the Oil Pipeline because of the Unions so he had to do something for the libtards. These appointments, for better or worse, need to be given an up or down vote. It doesn’t matter who’s side your on, this blocking of nominees for either side is just crap and it needs to stop.
Obama broke the law, in my view, but the opinion still stands.
