Love what he said when asked about earmarks. Said that as a senator of course you try to get money to go back to your state. The reason McCain became so hawkish on earmarks was because his record on the real problem, entitlements, was a disaster so he started harping on earmarks. HA!!!!!
Watch out!
Santorium is a HIGE “social justice” devotee.
Look at his record, PERSONALLY and what he voted for.
Look at the sweetheart deal he got on his house and how he had to pay back the state of Pennsylvania oodles for internet service for his kids living in VIRGINIA to be SCHOOLED by a PENNSYLVNAI school district. This guy is ENTLTILMENT minded as a silly Senator, SNAEKY and GREEDY. Self gain is the name of his game.
I think Rick hit into a double play with his remarks about reforming SS right now. The Dems are going to have field day with this one.
There is one person with a true liberty minded agenda and that is Dr. Paul. Conservatives seem now to be more worried about the next 3rd world country we need to invade that poses no threat per the Mossad and the CIA....there are conservatives here that hate the Patriot Act and the NDAA. But will support and vote for the same republicans that will keep it in place...the GOP sadly has become the police state fear party...melting in to that demoncrat mindset
Someone posted this indicating Santorum excuses his record on earmarks by saying someone else was bad on entitlements. My point was, if Santorum didn’t help in 2005 when Bush attempted to reform SS, the biggest entitlement, then why is he criticizing someone else’s record on entitlements? Maybe that’s all ancient history, but a candidate’s record is contained in history. And if he didn’t help reform entitlements in 2005, how are we suppose to believe he’ll be a force for reform should he become our nominee and later possibly president?
Your spelling and grammatical errors totally undermine any credibility as a critical thinker, so stick to Ron Paul sites where you’ll be among more like-minded souls.
You are living in a Neville Chamberlin-inspired fantasy land. If I were still an idealistic 20-something, I, too, would want to believe Dr. Paul’s Rx of isolationism would make all the bad guys leave us alone. But facts are stubborn things and we have to deal with the far more frightening reality of enemies bent on our destruction and confront them realistically.
Do you know how old I am? Dont be so quick to judge me because I dont fear a backwards third world country. I dont feel we should have a police state because of that either....this drum has been beat too many times...starting with Iraq....we aint leaving there in victory are we?
Dr. Paul is old enough to know better.
So are most FReepers...but not all.
AMEN.
‘who I will hold my nose when I vote for him in December’
I’m glad you are voting in December.
No, thanks to Obama putting an election promise to end the war even if it meant losing eveything we had fought for before the lives of those given to help free Iraq is unforgivable. Obama’s politically motivated pre-mature withdrawal leaves a lot of American blood on his hands.
You don’t mean December - you mean when you vote on the first Wednesday in November.
As long as you vote!
I dont care if you cant bring yourself to pull the lever for Romnay- but at least make sure you go, and get everyone else you know to go, to vote down the line for the REST OF THE REPUBLICAN TICKETS for senators and congresscritters!!!!!!!!!!
I was hinking the other day that it might be fun and a kick in the teeth to the establisment GOP to have a veto-proof republican congress WHILE Obambi is in office
wait wait wait.... hear me out
If Romney was in with a GOP congress, he can continue the status quo and the GOP’s will go along with him just because...
But if the GOP were to govern the country by congress, overturn obamacare, and gut the government there would be nohing Obama could do about it
He could go on vacation to hawaii and stay there
I read an article the other day that he barely goes to the oval office anymore- he sits around in shorts and t-shirt in a TV room upstairs watching ESPN all day while his minions bring people around to see him for 15 mintes max.
Was Santorum paying taxes in the district from which he benefitted? If so, what’s the deal?
Yeah, we were a lot less broke then. The Tea Party wasn't born yet. W was elected, before 2005, saying he was going to start privatizing SS. It is no longer a hopeless subject, merely a difficult one. I give Santorum credit for being consistent and forthright... and right with his stand on SS. As the sure to fail date for SS, when doing nothing, gets closer the politics will change. Ask the Paulbots how many of them expect to collect anything from SS. Many older voters despise Obama and understand the need to reform SS. They aren't all FDR's brain washed minions any more.
Santorum is a joke. He will not get the nomination.
He needs to take his Mr. Rogers sweater vests and go home to be a father to his seven children.
And no Rick, blah does not sound anything like the word “black”.Nice try.
I love Hannity’s facial expression when he’s interviewing someone he doesn’t take seriously or care for. It’s a kind of bemused half smile. And the poor guy has to try to keep a straight face with Levin’s jokes popping up on his computer 24/7.
So just exactly when will "the time" be?
