Pelosi Fires Back at Gingrich

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi fired back at fellow former Speaker Newt Gingrich Sunday morning for his disavowal of a TV ad calling for action on climate change that the pair filmed together.
Mr. Gingrich, chasing the Republican presidential nomination, has called the 2008 ad “probably the dumbest single thing I’ve done in recent years.”
Ms. Pelosi, of California, asked about the comments on CNN’s State of the Union, had a tart riposte: “He has been fined $300,000 dollars by the ethics committee, you’d think he’d consider that a big mistake.”
CNN Reporter Candy Crowley said after Ms. Pelosi’s comments that Mr. Gingrich has characterized the $300,000 payment as a reimbursement ordered by the House Ethics Committee, not a fine.
In 1997, Mr Gingrich was reprimanded in a 395-28 vote and ordered to pay the money for allowing a tax-exempt organization to be used for political purposes, as well as for misleading the Ethics Committee.
“Since you brought up my name in association with him as the dumbest thing he ever did, I think there’s plenty of stiff competition for that honor, as far as his activities go,” Ms. Pelosi told Ms. Crowley.

She's right about that.
But against stiff competition, that "global warming" event on the couch is the definite winner.
I couldn’t imagine an enemy I would rather have, except Obama. Newt made a mistake sitting down with Nancy, but he never bought into the Pelosi / Obama Cap and Trade model. The leftist model was based on huge penalties and bankrupting localities with taxes if they do not move on the federal govt’s demands. Gingrich favored a business incentive, tax-break driven model for companies that invest in green energy.
He was snookered by the left who wanted to use him for leverage to push their wild plans. He agreed in principle to invest in alternative energy. He never was in line with Pelosi’s model for strong-handed leftist coercion. This is what has not been explained properly.

I can just imagine the dirt that Newt knows on Pelosi! It would be popcorn time for sure.
The ethics charges have all been debunked. if she does, it may have some unintended consequences for the Dims rather than hurting Newt. Newt already warned media outlets against using the same crapola in Romney's ads because they have been proven false and he intimated legal action for wilfully airing lies. Is anyone aware if the ads have aired anywhere?
One word: Visa IPO
Pelosi cashed in on that one.
I hope this will be a lesson to any republican that thinks about cooperating with this vile woman ever again.
Nothing good can ever come from fraternizing with the enemy.
Well I guess it is nice to see one of Newts buddies coming to his defense and trying to shore up his campaign.
But Newt is so smart, this is impossible, he must agree with Pelosi completely, he's just sorry he got caught.
Or he's so dumb that anyone can wrap his ego around their little finger, and get him to do whatever they want.
Yep, this is the guy we want for President.

Pelosi chastising Gingrich for doing something dumb? Wow...just wow. So her telling artists that I (aka “taxpayer”) will pay for their health care so they can continue being artists is not dumb? How about them getting a job to pay their own health costs and doing their artwork on off hours until it pays enough to sustain them?
I have nothing but contempt and as close as I allow myself to get to pure hatred for that witch and I relish the possibility of a battle between her an Gingrich.

Gosh....who’s Nancy picking in the games today? Me personally, I can’t get enough of her comments. I want to know her take on absolutely everything. Nancy, please enlighten us on whether you like white or whole wheat bread! The world must know your opinion on setting the height of a lawnmower! How can we possibly survive if we don’t know your feelings on pudding! Tapioca or butterscotch? It’s like we’re stuck in time without her guidance! You’re dumber than donuts, but we must hear from you!!!!!
