2 Texas teens proud to be on Team Perry

AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry’s decision to soldier on through South Carolina has been mocked, criticized and questioned, but he’s carrying the hopes of Texans like Reagan and Miranda Ashley with him.

The Harlingen teenagers volunteered for Perry in Iowa, covering their expenses by making pro-Perry posters, seeking sponsors and asking local businesses to display them.

“A lot of businesses would hang them up. Some would tell us just to keep the poster, but a lot of them would donate money even if they weren’t Perry supporters, just because we were getting involved,” said Reagan, 17.

Snip

“It’s like having George Washington come back to life,” he said.

So Peggy Fikac singles out a couple of teens to beat up on.

Yeah that’s cool.

What a jerk.

“...mocked, criticized and questioned...”

That covers all the bases except for: run out of town.

The Ashley’s are cute kids who worked hard all week. I was proud to meet them and their mother in Des Moines.

I think the country has had enough of Texan presidents for a while...just my take on it.

I would vote for him over many in the current field...but I think he is poison for a chunk of people just because he is ‘another Texan’.

I could be wrong.

If that's the case then Newt is a Georgian and you must not want to vote for another Jimmie Carter.

Good grief, you don't judge a man based on whether or not he was born in the same state as a guy you don't like!

Dumbest presidential candidate I ever saw in my life.

oh I will vote for Perry

maybe even in the primaries.

but around here the Bush haters are thick...and Carter is much older history, and memories are short...(though even in NY Reagan won the state).

BTW Newt was an Army brat whose father happened to travel to Georgia ... he is not Georgian...he is a Pennsylvanian.

... by the way....do you actually READ the posts before you comment on them.

I had said that I would conceivably vote for Perry, (if he is the best of what is left...by the time April comes there is a thin field left).

Gee , you must be soooo mature to make fun of two teenage girls.

What is your point of posting? For the rest of the PDSer’s to join you in a “great laugh for a Monday morning” ?

I’m happy that two teenagers are in our camp instead of the O’Basturd Occupy camp.

Perry already is the best of what is left standing. He's actually run a state that has the 13th largest economy in the world and has actually been Commander in Chief of 20,000 national guardsmen who love and admire him.

I know there are a lot of Bush haters, but they should recognize that the Bushes hate Perry and they should ask themselves why that is. Not voting for Perry because of Bush is ironic.

You have to wonder if they don’t realize they are doing Dubya’s work for him. Have they asked themselves why Rove never even mentions Perry? Why all the establishment pretends he dosn’t exist?

Perry has issues....

the Mexican issue and the HPV issues

not enough for me to not vote for him....but then again none of them have everything I look for.

I would have been eager to back Palin over the rest of them...and even she has problems.

Just sayin’.

the Mexican issue and the HPV issues

See how easily people are led by the establishment? The Mexican issue? Perry is tougher on illegals then just about anyone. Why do you think Sheriff Joe is supporting him, and even heading his campaign in Arizona?

As the HPV..there was an opt out. The only reason he did it the way that he did was so insurance would cover it for people who couldn't afford the $300.00. AND it was reversed before it went into effect and he backed off as soon as he realized Texans objected. When did you ever see a politician who backed off when the people said they didn't want something?

Perry had back surgery in July, he entered the race in August and was still in pain for those first debates. What you are seeing now is the Perry who turned Texas into a job making machine.

I know, right? Because after all, Rick Perry is a pro-abortion, anti-God, anti-gun, anti-business, big-government, homosexual-pandering leftwinger!

Oh, no, wait........

I respect their dedication to a candidate and the American election process and I further recognize their maturity to make such a commitment.

However, to state that Rick Perry or any person alive today is as if George Washington has risen from the dead and in now alive in the body of Rick Perry is rather silly and misguided.
