Some of the most vociferous left wing organizations that want to eliminate the 2nd Amendment, also want to eliminate the 1st Amendment all under their pretend rationale that non politically correct hate speech is not covered under the 1st Amendment. They tried to do it to the Tea Party. Every year they ( Media Matters, SPLC, ADL, and lots of others) chip away a little more at it.
