LANDSLIDE: Limbaugh Predicts 2012 Election

Rush Limbaugh predicts 2012 outcome Radio host says pollsters wrong about presidential race

By Joe Kovacs

PALM BEACH, Fla. – While polls across America show Barack Obama in a tight race for president with potential Republican nominees, top-rated radio host Rush Limbaugh doesn’t think the outcome of the race will even be close.

“If the election were today, it would be a landslide loss,” Limbaugh said this afternoon. “Let me define landslide: five to seven points. It’d be big. It would be huge.”

“Make no mistake about it,” he continued. “Of this I am as confident as anything. I know it’s not reflected anywhere else in the media and it’s not reflected too many other places in conservative media. But I’m telling you, he’s toast. Just as Jimmy Carter was toast, and nobody knew it until election night [in 1980].

Limbaugh cited Gallup polling about Obama’s personal approval ratings among voters, and he says the forecast is not bright for the president.

I’ll be very surprised is an election is even held. I predict an October surprise like this country has never seen before, so that barry can “suspend” the election.

The fact is, if Romney is our nominee, Obama is going to win.

Rush gave Romney a boost today with his attack on Newt. Rush got a good reaming out from his last caller.

My main concern is voter fraud.....the dems. will try any dirty trick to win and The Kenyan's Justice Department will do nothing to stop them

The Black Panthers case proves it.

I love Rush. I listen to Rush almost every day. I think Rush is right about a lot of things. I think Rush is right about this thing, too. The only problem is, no one, in the history of “IF THE ELECTION WERE TODAY” pronouncements has ever been proven wrong. It's a BS claim.

You can't prove it, you can't disprove it, you can do nothing with it. No election was ever held earlier than on the day it was scheduled, so predicting results for some fictitious vote tabulation is abject conjecture.

Rush loves to be right about oh-so many things. Rush is often oh-so right about a lot of things. This is just one of those things he gets to say without ever being disproved.

Seems to me, 4 years ago Rush was having fun with Operation Chaos because he wanted to slow down Hilary

You got it backwards.

Well, I hope Rush is right about a GOP win and no I don’t think it will be a landslide if the GOP candidate wins. I just fear there are too many give me, give me, give me people in this country now who don’t understand or don’t want to understand or just don’t care how or know where the government golden goose gets it’s golden eggs and why the golden eggs will turn to fools golden eggs eventually.

Take a look at Obama’s reelection bumper stickers and his original election stickers. That’s the telling part. People aren’t proud of him.

Different era, no Reagan and the demographics are a lot different nowadays.

Maybe so, but just about every sub group favors him less than in 2008: Hispanics, young people, whites, etc. Demographics helps him a point or two but he would lose 10 % off his votes, otherwise, IMO.

And remember, Democrats in congress got 59 % of the vote, while Obama got 52.9 %.. Do you see anything close to that happening again?

I remember my barber, in 2008, telling me he was going to vote for Obama in the Texas Primary because he was certain the GOP candidate could beat Obama but not Hillary. When I remind him of that every time I get a haircut, he just mumbles some expletive.

Don’t you remember how the libs and the so-called mainstream media disparaged Ronald Reagan as just a dumb actor in 1980?

“Looks like the “media” has got you. “

Looks like you can’t see beyond hurling insults at those you don’t agree with.

Try this one out for size:

The media is powerful, very powerful. The average American is “briefed” by the media almost daily.

So, I put it together.
Blacks will vote Obama. They may not turn out as much, but they will vote Obama.
Mexicans - Obama. Perceived immigration advantage, and welfare.
Those who pay no taxes... Obama.
Those who get their news daily from NBCCBSABCCNNMSNBC... will in large part vote Obama.
Liberals - No brainer, pun intended, Obama!
Republican base unhappy with the nominee... they stay home, that’s like a vote for Obama in my book.
Dead voters, multiple voters, space aliens... Obama. The DNC and whatever ACORN is today will see to it.

Spells an Obama reelection.

Well, it really boils down to the swing states. Flipping a handfull of states Obama won in ‘08 could do it. I believe Virginia is pivotal in that regard.

I won’t make that mistake again. I’ll find a whole different mistake to make.

I believe that I could count on one hand the number of 2012 campaign bumper stickers for Zero that I have seen in the local area. That contrasts with hundreds at this time in 2008. That is a good sign.

You remember wrong. Rush’s “Operation Chaos” was supposed to bloody up Obama, not slow down Hillary.
