The GOP has chosen. The destruction of the TEA Party is almost complete.
The Weekly Standard, National Review, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, & all the establishment Republicans have driven the TEA Party out of the picture.
Now we are told that taking Federal bailouts = capitalism & that anybody who disagrees should just shut up. Why did they TEA Party start in the first place?
Without ethics capitalism is doomed to corruption.
I expect every Romney voter would support Solyndra or GE... because "it's just capitalism"
I’m not reading all that much into New Hampshire. If South Carolina and following primaries go this way, then we’re definitely in trouble. I don’t think they will.
We will probably look back on this as Mitt’s last hurrah.
We will probably look back on this as Mitt’s last hurrah.
The Tea Party is alive and well. We just need to move it out of the GOP. It is time to start a new party.
I think you have it backward. The Republican Party’s destruction will be complete. They are about to join the Whigs on the ash heap of history. The Tea Party will live on.
Too late to start thinking about starting a third party. At least for this cycle. A third party will ensure the TEA Party is the party of irrelevance.
The MSM is saying we need to hurry up and settle on someone. Why the hurry? Still 48 states and a convention to go. The tea party is here but has been divided more than coopted. Unfortunately some people don’t know the difference between a MSM version of conservative aka east coast moderate, and a constitutional conservative. But I think we are seeing the power struggle in the GOP between the real conservatives and the progressives. If they choose the wrong path it will be the end.
Because giving up is so easy...
Two primaries and you’re ready to throw in the towel. LOL
You are 100% right!
We are screwed. The Tea Party did not take over the Republican Party....they destroyed us. Now we will have every RINO candidate shoved down our throats. The Dems and the Rebubs are one and the same. They took away every real Conservative from us. Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, Michelle Bachman, and now they will destroy Newt and Santorum! I do not know if America will ever be free again, or have truw free elections. We have no real choices, because they are made for us. ALL of the media are now paid operatives for the elites. All hope is gone....
It just means that people will leave your store for a better store.
I'd like folks to shop and work in America.
The closest thing to a TEA Party candidate in this race is Ron Paul and he’s labeled as a kook.
I thought the objective is beating Klownie the Kenyan? Quit your whining.
I read the same post back on the night when Dumbo won the election and the best posts was when Freepers who owned business wanted to fire every Obama voter in their company. That’s the Freeper I want to read about...not this sob story.
Romney will win the primary and then go on to win the election because enough Obama 2008 voters will not vote for Obama (nor Romney) in 2012. Bank on it. In the end central banksters win once more while we the people lose again.

Mitt Romey, the central bankster Goldman Sachs candidate.

The Tea Party has been co-opted by the GOP. The economy is no longer an issue for those who have co-opted the Tea Party. They talk of everything else other than the economy - national security, abortion, religion and winnability. These issues induce fear into the sheep and they are willing to forget the economy and fall in line behind the GOP establishment. The candidates in the primaries are establishment candidates who are seasoned politicians.
Irrelevancy is a term I’d apply to the Republican party. I’d be embarrassed to call myself a Republican.
Bingo.
I think we can still strike that populist chord while standing by conservative values.
I really do, But I am counting on a populous that isn’t easily distracted.
I agree, I have no candidate in this race. That’s why I’m anxious to start a new party.
Sadly firing folks in this economy is not populist.
Yep. We all expected mittens to win NH. Some expected him to win by over 40%. Iowa was a bit of a surprise. It'd sure be nice to get the count before SC.
South Carolina polls show Romney in the lead. What’s wrong with them?
It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when questions of business ethics are misconstrued as somehow being attacks on capitalism itself.
These are not “folks”...they voted for obama.
It is not just Romney and the Goldman Sachs, Its Obama and the Goldman Sachs.
Look at Obama... He is looting the country 5 ways from Sunday.
Rip Off artists should be shunned.
Iran Paul is a Libertarian Party representative, not a Tea Party representative. Last I checked the Tea Party weren’t anti-war hippies for legalizing drugs and slashing military spending. If you were, you didn’t need to invent a new party, just register Libertarian.
Bingo
Oh, I agree. I stopped fooling around with the GOP 6 years ago. Reince Preibus (or however he spells his name) is an establishment puppet.
John 3:16. Have faith. Despair is from obastard’s true father.
I always listen to Rush. Today I wanted to crawl through the line and strangle him. He doesn’t get the fact we know that there are times where capitalism exceeds it’s limit and becomes socialism for the few.
If the Tea Party groups wanted to be relevant, the Tea Party groups should have endorsed a candidate before Iowa. Sitting on the sidelines shows complacency, cowardice, acquiescence and weakness. The establishment didn’t wait to endorse their candidate of choice. Why is the Tea Party surrendering like this? I’m very unimpressed with their timidity.
Tonight our folks voted Romney.
I have a problem with that.
I PRAY your forecast is right. Considering the fact that 75% of us do NOT want Romney, I find it very disturbing that he’s sailed right through these first two contests that capture so much national attention.
And Brit Hume said something that was also significant - Ron Paul stays in and ruins any other candidate’s chance of defeating Romney. Damn him (RP, I mean).
IMHO Palin showed a lot of smarts by staying out of the race because destiny will consign the winner (Romney) to a slow death in the tarpit of American economic morass caused by ruinous central bankster debt.
I think you have it backward. The Republican Partys destruction will be complete. They are about to join the Whigs on the ash heap of history. The Tea Party will live on.
From your lips, Brother. The Grand Old Potty can’t die fast enough, IMHO. The Corrupt Bastards.
Nobody "took away" Palin, Cain, and Bachmann..they either chose not to run (Palin), took themselves out (Cain), or did not capture the fancy or enough votes (Bachmann). Newt has danced with the enemy (Pelosi) and Santorum is FAR from a tea party sympathizer. We must face that the electorate has changed, unfortunately...it is simply not the same country (demographically or electorally) that it was 25-30 years ago. Personally I believe the country is already well past the point of return and is on course for a long, inevitable decline.
Endorse who? There isn’t a single candidate in this race that inspires. Not one of them can articulate the principles of the tea party movement. It’s kind of hard to endorse a non-existent candidate.
Rinse Peabody also got his butt handed to him by both Chris Wallace and Debbie Was-A-Man on FOX News Sunday. He looked like a timid girly man who let himself get slapped around like a paper doll by a couple of pit bulls. The GOP just looks utterly pathetic. Between him and Romney they’re becoming the party of country club prep school wusses. Is there a billionaire out there with some stones who can just buy these bozos out and send them into early retirement?
The fix is in. Central banksters want Romney and Romney they’ll get.
Same here..if it’s him in the very end, do the same back when anti-Obamites held their noses and voted McCain.
And the Tea Party groups should have stopped sitting on their laurels after we got a narrow lead in the Congress.
Where the F is the Tea Party? I have been saying it for ages
Organize and FIGHT
All we hear about is OWS and Ron Paul.
The TEA seems to be cold
“...have driven the TEA Party out of the picture.”
Says who? Stop projecting.
We’ll let the sheeple read the taro cards. I’ll draw my own conclusions about this next election.
Does the Tea Party Stand for taxed enough already? And why do you like the progressive income tax?
I will, but I am not ready to cave yet.
