Posted on 01/11/2012 9:02:43 AM PST by Fred
David Axelrod, chief political strategist for President Barack Obamas re-election campaign and former White House political adviser, defended Jeremiah Wright on Tuesday evening in a speech in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Axelrod described the initial news reports in 2008 on Obamas long-time family pastor and mentor as ninety seconds of vitriol plucked from thirty years of sermons by some enterprising opposition researcher.
The claim that Wrights sermons were selectively edited by Obamas political opponents contradicts what is known about Wrights preaching and the radical, racialist creed of the Trinity United Church of Christ, to which Obama belonged for two decades and to which he contributed a large amount of money.
Axelrods claim is also contradicted by Obama himself, who has cited Wrights enthusiasm for radical politics as the main reason he was attracted to the church.

You cannot un-say something you said......
Yeah, he's a regular victim of coicumstances!
Ole Axelrod, lining up his politics of racist against the kind preacher Wright.
Another lefty phony who preaches anti-White hatred while steering clear of the people he rouses, college campuses are full of these bums as well.
I think they are in panic mode. Expect more of this as we get close to November. The truth is the truth and you can’t change that, but they will try.
“Them Jews aren’t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office,” Wright said, according to Virginia’s Daily Press. “They will not let him ... talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is.”
“Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing of the Zionist is a sin and a crime against humanity, and they don’t want Barack talking like that because that’s anti-Israel,” Wright said.
“Regret for what ... that the media went back five, seven, 10 years and spent $4,000 buying 20 years worth of sermons to hear what I’ve been preaching for 20 years?” he said.

I do not trust or like Axelrod. IMHO, he is the definition of sleaze. Although he looks like a salesman you’d see at Shifty’s Used Cars, I would definitely NEVER buy a used car from him.
I hate it when people take a few innocent comments out of context and try to make the speaker look bad:
“We started the AIDS virus. We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty.”
“The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.”
“In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns.”
“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”
“We bombed Hiroshima. We bombed Nagasaki. And we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye.”
“You cannot do terrorism on other people and expect it never to come back on you.”
“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes three-strike laws and wants them to sing God Bless America. No! No No! God damn America for killing innocent people. God damn America for threatening citizens as less than humans. God damn America as long as she tries to act like she is God and supreme.”
“Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people. Hillary would never know that.”
“Fact number one: Weve got more black men in prison than there are in college. Fact number two: Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run.”
“We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training of professional killers. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God. We conducted radiation experiments on our own people. We care nothing about human life if the ends justify the means. And And And! God! Has got! To be sick! Of this shit!”
“To say ‘I am a Christian’ is not enough. Why? Because the Christianity of the slaveholder is not the Christianity of the slave. The God to whom the slaveholders pray as they ride on the decks of the slave ship is not the God to whom the enslaved are praying as they ride beneath the decks on that slave ship.”
Rev. Wright is, I’m sure, no more extreme or hate filled than former US Senator Barack Obama himself.
And the only reason Axelrod can make that argument with a straight face is because the mainstream media will never broadcast two words of anything that Wright has ever said.
Hey Axelrod...Google “Donald Young” and get back to me, maggot.
The Conservative nominee ought to run and re-run the Rev. Wright ‘God Damn America’ piece from the beginning of the campaign to election day.
Axelrod playing blame game like Obama because they have nothing good to offer at election time.
Another illustration of the politically tone deaf Obama administration. Axelrod obviously still can’t tell the difference between a talking point and a political land mine. The complete refusal of the MSM to criticize anything coming out of these fools mouths has fostered a culture of “just say anything, no matter how much ignorance it reveals”.
It clearly revealed Jeremiah Wright as a paranoid, delusional, hateful, racist, communist anti-American bigot.
Hey Axelrod! Don't try to piss on my leg and tell me it's raining.
Ok, so let me see if I understand....for 30 years, Wright is a fine, patriotic, upstanding American...but for 90 seconds he hates this Country with an abnormal passion not normally seen in public, much less in a “church”....it was just those 90 seconds out of 30 years...Well, ok then.... /s
Where in the hell do the democrats get these wrist cutters. Looking at Axelrod this is a man whose word I wouldn’t trust as far as I could throw him.
