Um, sorry to disagree, he stands no chance. Show me one poll where he does well against the Kenyan. Independents are not going to vote for Rick, sorry, they just aren’t.

I agree. Perry can go back to TX and regroup his forces over the the coming 4-8 years, then give it another try.

Remember, Clinton was loudly boo’d at one Democrat convention, nominated at the next; then went on to be elected twice and today is the most beloved (among Dems) pol in the USA today.

I agree. We need to cull the field of all but the strongest conservatives so that Romney won’t win the nomination with a minority of the votes.

He could have kept me interested but I agree with you, once he started going the ‘vulture capitalism’ route, he lost me.

Worse than Dole. I watched all the debates, Rick is scared to go after the Marxist Kenyan. Too soft.

Palin for the WIN!

(...if she entered, and timed her entry just right.)

Otherwise, either Newt or Santorum: depending on their choice of Running Mate and other advisors.

Cheers!

“GO NEWT GO.........”

I’m sorry, but after all of Newt’s shenanigans with the extreme far left, playing loose with social conservatism, fiscal conservatism and limited government . . .

Listening to all you guys go on and on about how Newt is somehow different than the one sitting on the couch with Pelosi is like listening to a battered woman going back to her abuser. “But he’s different this time. He really is.”

Yeah. Sure, lady.

I’m voting for Newt in the primary and I have no intention of sitting home, EVERRRRRRRRRRRR! I have voted in every election since I was old enough to vote and I don’t intend to stop now. In the end, whoever wins the nomination, will get my vote as long as they have an R beside their name.

I want Barry Soetoro the Marxist out of the WH and I would crawl through fire, broken glass, hurricane force winds, etc. to vote against him.

I don’t see Newt playing to win. I don’t see the crowds embracing Santorum. I think I’ll stick with Perry.

I’m sorry, but the “vulture capital” remark, right out of the progressive/liberal class warfare playbook, has ruined me on Perry....and, Gingrich!

I realize that redstate.com’s Erick Erickson continues to stick by him, that South Carolina is Perry’s state and that he has re-tooled his staff.

FALSE! South Carolina is Romney's state because it has an open primary where democrats can and will crossover to help Romney.

People need to stop playing so much emphasis on SC. It's going to help Romney and the MSM is going to use it as an excuse to promote Romney elsewhere. I still don't know why Perry and Gingrich act like SC is so damned important, because it's not. The Democrats will gladly abuse an open primary to help whoever they think Obama can most easily defeat.

Santorum is not perfect but he can win against Obama.

Santorum would lose by more than the 18% he lost by last time he ran. Santorum offered up a bill praising Jerry Sandusky's Second Mile for all the good things Sandusky did for children. You don't get to be a vocal supporter of The Second Mile while your top issue seems to be gay marriage. Santorum would be destroyed in a general election.

I don’t pay attention to Drudge anymore, he’s as bad as Fox News is in promoting Romney.

Didn't Santorum lose his last election in PA?

Didn't he endorse Arlen Specter?

I didn't think he was that strong in PA. I have a brother-in-law from PA but he's from a Democratic Union Family.

UGH

Agreed, but Newt is worse. Newt cannot be trusted to know when to keep his mouth shut. Newt has the biggest case of foot-in-mouth of all of them.
