COLUMBIA, S.C. -- With a primary election just around the corner, South Carolinas attorney general is asking for an investigation into possible voter fraud in the state.
On Wednesday, Attorney General Alan Wilson asked State Law Enforcement Division Chief Mark Keel to review evidence of potential voter fraud in the state.
Wilson said the evidence of fraud was uncovered by Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles Kevin Shwedo during an extensive review of data related to the state's new voter identification law.
"Director Shwedo's research has revealed evidence that over 900 deceased people appear to have 'voted' in recent elections in South Carolina," said Wilson. "This is an alarming number, and clearly necessitates an investigation into potential criminal activity. I have asked SLED Chief Keel to review Director Shwedo's research."
In his letter to Chief Keel, Wilson wrote: "No right is more precious than the right to vote and no process is more important in terms of integrity than the election process. Voter fraud cannot be tolerated. Therefore, I respectfully request that SLED conduct a preliminary inquiry into these voting irregularities."
I’m hoping that the AG takes that FACTOID right into the Court Fight over Holder’s People’s dis-enfranchisement with Voter ID.
900 dead people voting in SC. Anyone want to bet on which party they are part of?
And....
I’m sure that’s why the study was done.
We are officially a true banana republic! Your “sacred” vote doesn’t mean jack.
“Dead People” is a key demographic for Democrat politicians over the years. Dead people vote overwhelmingly Democratic. The main issue is turn out.
Only 900 dead voters in all of South Carolina?
Heck, that’s barely a decent precinct here in Chicago!
‘zackly how Missouri got Claire McCackle...
Dead people won’t matter in SC since it’s an open primary where the Democrats can cross over and hand it to Romney...
Of course, the ACLU would go nuts and various federal judges would find that such laws were racist.
Pressitutes would only delve for that information and print it if it were suspected that it was a republican he voted for.
See, you can run the person’s name, charge, and criminal background in the paper, but telling us who he voted for is violating the sacrosanct ethos of journalism.
I’ll bet some of the Johnny Rebs who died in Camp Douglas in the Civil War are still voting Democrat there in Chicago.
We are in the process of a modified version of that in Wisconsin right now. We are all going to have to produce photo ID at the next election. Of course this was supposed to be in effect by 2004 and then 2008 but the Dems kept throwing monkey wrenches into the process.
The dead always vote democrat. It’s only the law in Chicago, but it is enforced nationwide.
900 in today, 90,000 in November.
Why do ya think they’ve installed electronic voting stations with NO paper trails or any other safety?/?
In Michigan the voter ID law went 6 years from passage to implementation due to court challenges. When I voted in a local election in October they ran my ID through a magnetic strip reader.
Wisconsin, New Hampshire, South Carolina...
Be sure to watch your MSM evening news report, I’m sure they will tell us what political party the fraudsters are associated with. WACK-A-DO
“No right is more precious than the right to vote and no process is more important in terms of integrity than the election process.”
That bears repeating.
A bunch of active dead people?.....Bill Clinton will be right over.
Great, now I have a great fear of dying and then voting democrat.

From what I’ve gathered here at FR, your governor Walker is, on the whole, appreciated for taking on the state employee unions and saving so much money. Is this true?
"Over 900 deceased people appear to have voted in recent elections, but what does that have to do with possible voter fraud? Just wait until 2012, you knee-jerk right-wing losers!"
The sun must seem awfully bright after being under that rock so long.
If those 900 people are really dead it is impossible to violate any civil rights someone at the DNC might claim they still have using the old “they voted so they must still be alive” argument”. So, lets see who they voted for. Let’s dig out those ballots and see whether they voted D or R. As if we didn’t already know.
I don’t know and don’t care who p!ssed in your Cheerios.
I don’t know anybody who does not love Scott Walker, but I don’t know everybody in Wisconsin.
We have some very aggressive unions here who have been trying to tear him down all year. Time will tell very soon whether they have been successful. Deadline for turning in the recall petitions is Jan. 17. I’m hoping they don’t have enough signatures, but I think they’ll fake them if they fall short.
If they push this to a recall election it will be a travesty.
So far (since the 2010 election) the Dems have:
1) walked out of the legislature for a month to stall the new rules from taking effect.
2) have attempted to invalidate the election of a Supreme Court Justice
3) have interfered with business as usual at the state capital with continuous protests
4) have threatened the lives of the governor, his family, the lt. governor and her family, and all the Republican State Senators
5) have tried to recall 4 Republican state senators and were successful with 2.
6) have tried to recall the governor, lt. governor, and 4 more state senators.
7) have hit another supreme court justice with lawsuits to try to get him to recuse himself on several issues.
8) have hit the newly elected supreme court justice with false charges
It’s really getting tiresome and is a bad example for our children to watch their teachers taking bogus sick leave to demonstrate in the street.
I seem to recall someone from the White House (Tim Kane?)was helping coordinate labor Union occupation of the WI legislature. If so, that never got the play it deserved. It was a breathtaking breach of separation of powers for the office of the President to assist in disrupting the business of a State Legislature. Also impeachable.
I don’t remember who that was. I only vaguely remember the report at all. But, yes, Obama has been behind this.
