Campaign 2012: By choosing to head his policy council with an open-borders advocate and former leader of the Hispanic activist group favoring amnesty, the president has signaled a divide-and-conquer re-election campaign .
In another move aimed at aiding his re-election, President Obama on Tuesday announced that Cecilia Munoz, a former senior vice president of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), would replace Melody Barnes as head of his Domestic Policy Council.
Hispanics are a key part of the coalition Obama and a key part of his re-election strategy will no doubt be to portray Republicans and others who advocate border security and stronger immigration enforcement as racists. Munoz's appointment is a part of that strategy.
It's a strategy that includes suing states like Arizona over laws that in fact mirror federal law but which the feds refuse to enforce. Also part of the strategy is the Justice Department's targeting of Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio, accusing him of violating federal law and the Constitution in his department's handling of Hispanics.
Coming soon after the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the case of Arizona's immigration and border enforcement law, SB1070, it smacked of retaliation.
The NCLR, whose name translates as "the race," is a tax-exempt nonprofit that describes itself as "the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States." It most recently led in vocal opposition against Arizona SB 1070, a law attacked by Attorney General Eric Holder as a discriminatory incarnation of profiling that usurped federal authority over immigration policy.

As a VP at La Raza, Cecilia Munoz advocated allowing union membership as a way for illegals to establish ‘residency’ and enjoy their human rights.

Another anti-American jackass with a “compelling life story”.
Another commie appointed
Imagine.... 4 more long and painful years of this a$$.
GO NEWT GO......
Pinging you to this thread, you’re not going to like this..
Ignoring parts of Laws that don't buy votes, implementing special-interest favoritism (Obamacare waivers to Unions), bailing out Union Pension Funds, allowing Illegals free access to ALL benefits paid for by U.S. Citizens, handing OBAMA MONEY to blacks for whatever (Pigford Settlement, ignoring Black Panther Thug voter intimidation), sissy-fying the Military to let sex deviates run free, and giving them Marital Benefits, while refusing to enforce the DOMA, and Holder vowing to take care of "Our People".
Make no mistake, the Fraud in November this year will be legendary, and IF The Messiah loses this election, there may be riots in the inner-cities, and they will be stoked by the State-Run-Media.
The problem for us is, if Romney-the-RINO is the Nominee, we have our choice of the lesser-of-two-Liberals, and not much would change in the Agenda.
No matter how many RINOs kiss their butts “The Race” is still The Klan With a Tan.
Are you sure that was La Raza President Bush addressed?
I did not know that, but I thought you meant while he was in the Oval Office. He had a Hispanic group visiting the White House
Not sayin the "Flying O" has a clue (Just like the Mel Brooks character) O is is more like Heady LaMar. I am thinking that the plagiarist is more like the Governor, clueless.
” The Race is still The Klan With a Tan”
One of the pet phrases of the late, great, Terry Anderson, the Prisoner of South Central, the best spokesman for immigration control that we ever had.
Sorry, I don’t recognize her.
Thanks for the introduction to Terry Anderson too.
Thanks for the ping, and you are right about me not liking it. I am sure not surprised by it though. So much for Obama’s big speech about bringing back jobs and fixing the economy. Noone is serious about jobs/the economy if they choose to ignore the illegal drain on this country. Those of us that want the laws enforced have been called racist and worse for many years. Meanwhile back at the border the cartel war is coming soon in full force. Murders and kidnappings are spreading to rural areas of Mexico close to the border so no area is safe.
Munoz was also a senior vice president of the National Council of La Raza before Obama tapped her for the administration in 2009.
REFERENCE Munoz must be salivating to undermine US ntl security w/ Raza Studies ...... taught in Arizona schools for a decade.
AN EXAMINATION OF RAZA STUDIES One textbook titled Occupied America, by Rodolfo Acuña, includes a speech given by activist and university professor Jose Angel Gutierrez: We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him, (pg. 323). The book also talks about the need for Mexico to re-take seven states in the Southwestern United States.
The following rather shocking quotes are taken directly from Occupied America (pg. 167):
<><> Supporters would execute all white males over age 16, (also known as the Plan of San Diego).
<><> The Southwest would become a Chicano nation.
IS LA RAZA COLLUDING W/ US POLITICIANS TO FINANCE RECONQUISTA? In addition to using taxpayer funds to enforce the polarizing beliefs outlined above in traditional public schools, the organization known as La Raza operates 100 charter schools across the counry. The following is a select list of La Raza charter schools:
-Academia Semillas del Pueblo (Los Angeles)
-Atzlan Academy (Tucson, AZ)
-Mexicayotl Academy (Nogales, AZ)
-The Dolores Huerta Prepatory High School (Pueblo, CO)
-Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School (St. Paul, MN)
In 2005 alone, $7.9 million in taxpayer funding was given out to these La Raza charter schools in the form of U.S. Department of Education grants. These schools stress Latino culture, the Spanish language, the re-conquest of the American Southwest, the establishment of the mythical Atzlan, and even Aztec math.
