(CNN) John Bolton, the former U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations, is set to endorse presidential candidate Mitt Romney, a source close to Romneys presidential campaign said Wednesday.
Bolton served in the administrations of former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush before former President George W. Bush appointed him the U.N. role.

Sigh!
Why not? Romney is the father of sodomite marriage and Bolton supports it.
The H.W. side of Bolton reappears..
Dumb move. Just another RINO showing his true colors.
WTF IS GOING ON???!!!
Silly of him.. and too early. Should have given Santorum more time.
Sad.
You want change? Don't seek it in the voting booth. It's not there.
Cool, another unnamed source! We should allow the testimony of unnamed sources in murder trials!
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!
appoint me! appoint me!
Too many hours sitting in the television makeup chair staring in the mirror.
We the people are screwed, that’s what’s going on.
Not set to do it. He did it on Greta’s show tonight on FOX. In essence, he said, “I’m all in for Romney.”
Chaos Redux. Operation Chaos, I say, Republican Establishment style. Very funny timing, as the Establishment goes wobbly at our rebellion. We now know what “Cram Down” means, but we don’t have to swallow this time. We have a choice to see this through and remain in rebellion.
“REBELLION IS BREWING!” Jim Robinson, on many occasions
Is there any mention of what the sales price was?
Nohhhhhhhh!!!!
Like I wrote ~2.5 hours ago:
“I just dont know what to do anymore...”
Amen, Rita : )
Not if you want to be Romney's Secretary of State.
Bolton endorsed McCain in ‘08, so this shouldn’t surprise anybody.
Is he really even that influential?
No surprise...he endorsed Juan McCain in 2008.
” We the people are screwed, thats whats going on. “
Maybe not. Why would the Establishment be so doubling down on the Cram Down of Romney, if they weren’t plenty nervous.
Mitt has some kind of RiNO mojo!
That or he’s blackmailing everyone somehow...
Mistake, Mitt is not going to win, Bain is going to take him down. Perry double down on Bain and Newt is pissed.
Well, Mr. Ambassador, you’ve just gone way down from that pedestal I had you on. This now goes on your record, sir.
Blue bloods sticking together...no surprise
We still have the Poison Pill...
Just need to get the Senate locked up first.
Not quite there yet, personally, but it’s worth putting on the table I think.
If our side had consolidated into one candidate Romney would be in big trouble.
We'll see what SC brings. Some think we can wait and see beyond SC and beyond Florida. They are only looking at it by voting trends. But as time goes by the endorsements and commitments to donate from big donors are made to the present front runner and assumed winner of the nomination.
As those endorsements happen and the money comes in it's transferred into more ads. The more ads, the more exposure the more power.
Perry could have passed on his support. There's no way he can win. Maybe Perry and Romney have some sort of secret deal.
So, I guess the only question remaining is do I put my head up my ass and vote for Mitt, or do I kiss my ass goodbye?
Another one I have lost total respect for...WOW...I didn’t see this one coming.
Ooh Ooh Ooh! Toody! Man, did your comment bring back memories...lol! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQfXPGCYlfI
They are in full court press mode, and yes they are nervous. Paul is getting traction, and Paul is their worst night mare. So they want to get this deal done and quickly. Paul has the legs to go all the way and that scares team Mitt.
I am all in for Perry getting noisy. Good for him, and good for Newt! After all, noise is what I like so much about Newt. Perry needs a signature and NOISE would make a nice one. Let ‘em ALL have it in DC! Let the Governor of South Carolina have it! Let FOX NEWS have it! Let these one-by-one’s ALL have it, who are making promissory deposits off Romney.
The problem is none of the alternatives really stand out against the others, they all have tremendous flaws, while they do have good points as well.
Just damn...
“The problem is none of the alternatives really stand out against the others, they all have tremendous flaws, while they do have good points as well.”

The problem is Palin folded.
The worst part of it, is that Palin folded, it would seem, because ROMNEY’S SMEARS WORKED.
Why Palin would allow him this victory, eludes me.
I imagine I’m not alone, confounded about this.
I think we’ll get to a majority, perhaps a super majority.
The Establishment never counted on Ron Paul running third party INSIDE THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, which he is.
If they could, the Establishment would use Paul against us and maybe they ARE. But, why can’t the risk run both ways?
Can’t we hold Paul over THEIR head, if they don’t cut Romney loose and get with the conservative race going on out there? Let these three conservatives be free to run their race and let the Establishment BACK OFF, instead of us, Every. Single. Time!
We have three conservatives. Let them run their race
Compared to Romney and Obama those flaws aren't so tremendous to me. I'll take Newt's flaws or Santorum's flaws or Perry's flaws over Romney's anytime.
Romney's already starting to morph into his left of center candidacy before our eyes. He's getting ready to pander to the left.
That's Romney. He panders the conservatives until he knows he's got their vote. Then he panders the left. After he wins the election he panders the left much more than the conservatives. By re-election time he puts the conservative hat back on and blames his liberal actions on his inability to get things done because of the liberals in Congress. That's Romney in a nutshell.
agreed. Screw Mitt.
Wow! It took 3 posts until the RINO label showed up. So if Bolton is a RINO then who isn’t?
I am stunned speechless.
Then
Where should we seek change my FRiend?
NO cheers, unfortunately.
The GOP machine has drug us along every election, throwing a few bones here and there.
Personally, the last time I rebelled was Perot in ‘92. Thought I should never do it again.
But, the Dems have streaked to the left and the GOP has steadily drifted left, maybe more on the fiscal front than the social but a steady drift it has been.
Frogs we are, in a boiling pot.
There is an option, but it’s like calling an airstrike in on your position....
What a friggin’ disappointment!
Hey my FRiend
What would you suggest?
Which is why I think Paul is being very much underestimated. Newt can hurt Romney but I don't see him helping himself. Perry is done. Huntsman is done. That leaves Santorum or Paul as the anti Romney. Not sure how that plays out but I'd give the edge to Paul, since Paul has a national organization and has great appeal to independents.
Things are getting interesting, N.C. is going to be huge.

What does it matter, really? The single message heard loud and clear is that 65% of the Republicans, at minimum, DO NOT WANT the Cram Down candidate. We have been rebelling and because of it we havre been sold a crock of idle threats that a two caucus states, with open primaries, and with enemies voting in the mix, seals the nomination and closes the nomination process? What a crock. Altogether, their are what, 13 lousy delegates? Laughable.
Rebel on!
I’m really surprised at this. I know Perry had mentioned Bolton for Secretary of State if he won, and I thought Bolton and Perry were close, but guess not.
Or Bolton is going with who he thinks will be the winner and angling for a job.
