Richard Viguerie has an interesting observation regarding the methodology of Ron Pauls campaign intended to leave Paul as the last not-Romney standing, Ron Paul Goes Bird Hunting:
"Experienced bird hunters and fighter pilots know you dont aim for the leader of a flight you start at the back of the flight and work your way forward. This is apparently what Congressman Ron Paul is doing to his opponents in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Rather than aim at purported frontrunner Mitt Romney (who should be the number one target of his libertarian supporters), Ron Paul has been working his way through the flock of less well-funded and less well-defined opponents, thinning the field as he goes.
After raking former Speaker Newt Gingrich with fire in Iowa, the libertarian-oriented congressman from Texas has been zeroing-in on former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum in South Carolina."
And zeroing in on Santorum he is, In South Carolina, Paul Renews Santorum Attack:

Paul only attack conservatives. Why would he attack his pals on the left.
I think the freeper world has about thrown in the towel and conceded that ronpaul groupies are the dedicated opposition in the primary season.
See #40. We may be within weeks of disappearing. ronpaul and mitt may be combining for over 90% of the vote in many states.
The fat lady ain’t sung yet, but she is warming up her pipes.
i hope people here will be content with Rand Paul 2016. Marco Rubio or similar could never beat the Rinos in a 3-way with Rand. And the ronPaulistas would never support Rubio.
Rick is going to be tough to pick off now that he has traded in his sweater vest for a blazer.
You’re right.
“He never attacks Obama or Romney.”
All things in their due time. The field is still being thinned out. Then come the fireworks.
“The Paul movement has totally eclipsed Perrry, Gingrich, and Santorum.”
Pretty much. This is a marathon and Perry, Gingrich and Santorum have split the traditional conservative vote and resources three ways meaning that none can really make it to the end.
“All three are doomed before the next vote.”
I’d agree that their campaigns are pretty much toast, but their egos won’t allow them to pull out just yet. They’ll need to get pounded in SC first. I think Rick Santorum and Rick Perry are the next two voted off the island; they’ll run out of resources first. Newt will continue on for awhile longer. The reality though is that this is pretty much a two horse race.
The odd part for me is that as a supporter of the Paul faction, I’ll actually have a dog in the fight. Been a long time since that happened.
You need to add Virginia to the list. In case you missed the story, the Federal courts tossed Rick Perry’s lawsuit out. While I’d argue that it’s a two horse race anyway, it’s confirmed as a 2 horse race in VA.
“The Occupy thugs are Paul’s base.”
Really? I happen to be a supporter of the Paul faction, so I guess you could call me part of his base. Yet I never had any interest in what the occupy yahoos were doing. And I have yet to meet a Paul supporter who had anything to do with them.
Would you be so kind as to show us where these occupy yahoos for Paul are actually at? Or is this just more tired hyperbole?
“We may be within weeks of disappearing.”
If by we you mean traditional conservatives, you’re pretty much right. The failure to coalesce around one or perhaps 2 candidates about 4-6 months ago is going to cost traditional conservatives the gop nomination and the election. The sad part is that traditional conservatives could strike a deal with the Paul faction to defeat mitt romney. But they won’t.
See my tagline.
Ron Paul’s LIBertarianism has fried his brain, plus hes’s a Constitutional phony.
Here’s a thread I started on Ron Paul’s dangerous 2nd amendment vote(s):

Plus, here’s more from the Ron Paul who CLAIMS to be strongly pro-life:
“Voted NO on restricting interstate transport of minors to get abortions. (Apr 2005)
Voted NO on making it a crime to harm a fetus during another crime. (Feb 2004)
Rated 56% by the NRLC, indicating a mixed record on abortion. (Dec 2006)”

Why is Ron Paul against a parent deciding what’s right for their minor child?
Please get the word around. Expose Ron Paul.

Our fake political parties are doing their job well -- faking everybody out while Obama builds his tyranny network.
