A New Jersey school teacher accused of writing anti-gay comments on Facebook is stirring a new pot on free speech rights versus her possible termination.
Tenure charges were formally filed against high school English teacher Viki Knox, 50, last month after she was placed on leave in September for words her school board argues to be potentially harmful to their students.
'Why parade your unnatural immoral behaviors before the rest of us?' a Facebook user with her name wrote calling homosexuality 'a perverted spirit,' 'sin,' and which 'breeds like cancer,' according to NJ.com.

We must not make people feel uncomfortable.
Only quibble I have is use of “breed” as not applicable. “Spread” perhaps...
But the authorities get two positive events if they get rid of this lady. Not only do they get a win for gayness, but they rid the school of a Bible study adviser. Those bigoted Bible studying Taliban types make people uncomfortable also.
Is it interesting that we have a first Amendment Right which specifically gives us the freedom of religion, but that school has taken this right away from their teacher. She is no longer allowed to voice the Truth—about a vile, dysfunctional act which is “evil”. The schools are able to lie and pretend it is “good” so not to hurt the feelings of children who have been emotionally and/or abused by the important adults in their lives.
It is really as the Bible says about Good being called Evil and Evil being called good.
This vilification of Christian belief has to end. It is fascism and redesigning the Laws of Nature—it is a lie and undermines our Constitution saying dysfunctional behaviors are a right. Our “rights” come from God-—and, NOTE TO THE PRINCIPAL-—There is NO right to sodomy but their is a right to the freedom of religion.
We need to take sexual orientation OFF of “special rights”—it is not Right Reason according to Nature. It is a joke-—like saying raping babies is a right. Sick, evil Marxists trying to make all sexual acts moral. Destroys all decent religions.
Maybe we are not that far behind Canada after all. And I suspect that there are those in high places who would be quite comfortable with shutting up “insensitive” speech from the pulpit also.
The School Board will be tripping over themselves trying to apologize and reinstate her immediately...

On the one hand, it could mean hating and persecuting people because they are gay (like that deplorable Phelps guy and his "church" do)
On the other hand, it could mean taking the philosophical opinion that gay sex is sinful. Per the Christian view, this is hardly remarkable, since Jesus Christ and the apostles made it clear that everybody is sinful. And they also made it clear that if you expect your own sins to be forgiven you must accept that God offers such grace to everyone.
I have not seen the entire context of what she said...however the snippets quoted in the article are not sufficient to establish she is anti-gay in the first place. My fear is, that her real crime might be heresy against the religious doctrines of the state. To hide the fact that the real charge is heresy, those that want her fired will sloppily equivocate any heresy against their dogma as being a hateful anti-gay attack. And yet, we should not condemn them in their hearts, because they are only blind fools.

Her words are true, and supported by facts, science, and statistics. Homosexual practices result in shorter lifespans, spreading of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), increased mental health issues, and endangers the health and safety of the public at large.
Male/male or female/female sexual union can only be achieved by means of perverted risky behavior. To pretend otherwise is evidence of a seriously disordered mind. To punish people for stating the truth is even worse, in my opinion.

Firstly, this story is nothing to do with England. Secondly may I remind you that Britain is over 90% white British christian, it is officially a christian country and our head of state is leader of our church. Our parliament has full time christian lords who sit and review every piece of legislation that passes through the house, but only christian ones, no other religions. There is no separation of church and state here, no ban on religion in schools and public buildings and the government directly funds thousands of faith schools.
When we compare that to the US demographic with it’s ingrained secular approach to government and lack of official christian status and lack of official christian religion and lack of church involvement in the making of your laws, you really don’t have the moral a high ground when criticising a properly christian country like Britain. And then you just had to go and elect a muslim president didn’t you?
Please, get your own house in order before throwing stones at mine, especially when the stones seem largely based on MSM untruths and stereotypes rather than facts.

The US system of education has been broken since the sixties. and our local churches seem to have chosen to be Sunday Morning Social clubs subject to the 501-C3 status with the Internal Revenue service worse so since LBJ was a Senator. so it appears the US has chosen to make Toynbee a prophet. (He did try to warn us.-and yes I know he was a Brit.)
Well when Phelps ran for office...he was not a Republican, nor a Tea Partier...but a Democrat.
Ok...So, the community gets into an outrage. Many wear out their lives trying to work their jobs, take care of their families, and have an occasional day for recreation. They do all this and what happens?
The fired administrators **will** be replaced by people who have been indoctrinated in the same classrooms, the same universities, and graduate schools. It's like playing “Wack a Mole” at a carnival.

Solution: Begin the process of privatizing all K-12 education in this nation. Work for complete separation of school and state.

When the Bill of Rights was adopted, most Americans were self-employed (their own farm or shop). Expressing one's opinion didn't mean losing one's livelihood. At that time not one person in a thousand would have publicly praised homosexual conduct, and even fewer posted on Facebook.
Most people who get fired at 50 are going to have an awfully hard time ever finding work again. This woman might have a little better luck as a minority--but may have to settle for a lower-paying job at a religious school rather than at a public school.
This is why-no matter if the absolute worse Republican in your mind runs against Obama- just pull that lever or do what it takes to vote. We cannot afford this looney tunes for 4 more nor can the kids have their lives destroyed by his pals.
