So what's changed in two years? Staggering pictures show how Haiti is still a shattered wreck
UK Daily Mail ^ | January 13, 2012 | Staff

Two years after a devastating earthquake, Haiti is struggling to rebuild its ravaged buildings and hundreds of thousands of victims remain homeless. The 7.0 magnitude quake on January 12, 2010, lasted only a few seconds but killed around 300,000 people and left more than 1.5million without homes. Since then, however, reconstruction has been painfully slow, with squalid tent camps housing more than a half a million people in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince.

Is it too much to ask the half million homeless to get off their butts and start cleaning up.

3rd worlders never build anything. The would still be living in huts if it wasn't for all the infrastructure that was handed over to them by the colonialists. But once that infrastructure is gone ... they just revert back to their old selves.

Haiti is the Somalia of the west, incapable of governing themselves.

Yeah, and compare that with how quickly the people of Japan cleaned up after an earthquake AND resultant tsunami.

It’s simple to understand why the place is still a mess. They are waiting for someone else to come and clean it up.

Maybe we should send down the Mexican crews who cleaned up New Orleans.

Right. I remember seeing film and stills of Londoners clearing debris, by hand, after the blitz. And that went on continuously DURING war time and once the bombing stopped until the streets were clear. They didn't receive billions in aid, either!

How about getting Clinton/Bush and all the others (Moochelle, Dr. Jill) to pack their sleeping bags and get their hands dirty...
it’s called walkin’ the walk, instead of spouting the platitudes.

You are not supposed to ask questions like that.

Like New Orleans, but unlike Mississippi and Alabama, they’ll sit back and wait for someone to come in and take care of them.

The money? Certainly not with those people. It’s probably in Europe.

All of the food we’ve sent down there, and all of the doctors we’ve sent there have: put Haitian farmers and put Haitian doctors out of work....it destroyed what little self-sustaining infrastructure they had. There was a time not so long ago when Haitians were actually quite self-sufficient, not rich, by any standards, but it wasn’t always the basket case that it is now....and all of the aid will only perpetuate it being a basket case.

Look, folks, I have worked with Haitian folks that reside in Miami. The overwhelming majority of these folks are hard working, decent people who want the best for their families and loved ones!!! And...they, as a group, contribute positive economic power to the South Florida locale.

The country of Haiti is another story, being full of crooks, dictators, and power hungry leaders and politicians, that have only their own interest at heart. With Obama as POTUS in the USA, one would think he would be proactive in leading the effort to rebuild and develop Haiti, starting with cleaning out the Haitian corrupt leadership. But....that is not on the Obama agenda!!!

Actually, Obama has an established mantra that bypasses Christian Blacks, in Haiti, in the USA and around the world. For goodness sake the Obama bloodline comes from Muslim slave traders in Kenya!!! It is really amazing, that Haitians, American Blacks, African Black Christians in Libya and Nigeria continue to give this anti-Black Christian hater, Obama the right time of day!!! Sad, because the plight of Haiti, etc. will only get worse for those
Blacks that continue to support Barack Hussein Obama. Yes, the truth hurts, but....the truth is the truth!!!
