Appearing on Fox News' America Live Friday, GOP Presidential candidate Ron Paul said America should have empathy for Iran after one of their nuclear scientists was killed in a car bomb.
Paul said that "obviously" the Iranian government wouldn't kill their own scientists.
"This is an act of terrorism and we should empathize with them," Paul said.
“If we haven’t done it, we should prove to them or give them all the reassurance that we have not done it … and if we are doing it, we ought to quit,” he added.
Although both Israel and the United States have categorically denied having any role in the bombings, Iran has threatened to retaliate.
When asked what the United States should do if Iran does retaliate by killing an American, Paul dodged, saying that the U.S. should have "done a lot less a lot sooner."
"Everybody knows we have CIA agents maneuvering in Iran. We had a drone shot down, maybe two drones shot down over Iran, we're getting ready to put very punishing sanctions on them, disrupting the oil markets," he said.
"They're a very weak nation," he added. "They're responding in a natural way."
According to Paul, the "idea" that Iran is looking for a fight is a "concoction of the West," designed to prepare the American people for war.
He went on to say that it makes the perfect case for his foreign policy.

I wonder if David Icke, Michael Moore, Cynthia McKinney or Cindy Sheehan will be his running mate?
Seems a little too convenient that Iran blames the U.S. for blowing up a scientist iso soon after the U.S. rescues two Iranian crews.

Of course IT IS NOT OBVIOUS that Iran wouldn't kill one of their own scientists.
That's Iran ~ nothing is obvious with that crowd, and yes they would kill any scientist on the basis of just one piece of gossip passed on to the right person in the regime.
They are a murderous gang of thugs. They rape women before they execute them. They'd rape a man too.
We should emphasize.
We’re supposed to empower the dissidents by withdrawing covert operatives and making nice publicly with the regime in control there? That logic is more convoluted than 0bamster’s appeasement policies.
Sounds as if the Congressman is off his meds, again.

How can a man carting around so much insanity even be the the running for the most powerful post in the world? He should be locked up or at the very least hosting some late night radio show telling people about how venus is controlling the Jews or how the Jews snuck into the WTC over a weekend and rigged it too explode.
The GOP should disavow him, like they did with Duke.
