I’m not sure I see the problem here. If she wants to play with regular Lego models and pieces - DO IT. The new ones are for those who don’t want to play with what’s already out there. Sheesh!
Seems this woman was just sitting in her room looking for something to be offended by so she could wave her arms and throw a tantrum.

Honestly, what I would give for the days people didn’t have an embolism over such silly things.

What I would give if only they actually would have a real embolism!

Boys get to have toys in any color but pink and purple and pastels. Girls cant have toys in any color but pink and purple and pastels. Many years back, Lionel created a pink locomotive in an attempt to create a train that appealed to girls. It appealed to neither boys nor girls. It does, however, appeal to collectors!

When I was a boy, I was partial to Erector sets. They had Legos back then too but I don't remember them being as popular.
My sons preferred Lego when they were younger and for years, I'd step on a Lego piece left of the floor in the middle of the night - very painful!

Lincoln logs, the original legos. :) I grew up (err...to the extent I was ever going to) in the North.
In grade school a teacher said that in the South they sold them as "Pioneer Logs."
(Although I have lived the greater part of my life in the Southwest and the South, I have not found any corroboration of this.)

Hey Lego! shouted one commenter on the companys Facebook page. Im a girl and I dont like your new Lego Friends set. I think it promotes ridiculous gender stereotypes that damage little girls everywhere.
