ANUARY 16, 2012 Jon Huntsman to Drop Out of Presidential Race
BY CAROL E. LEE AND NEIL KING JR.
Republican presidential candidate Jon M. Huntsman Jr. intends to drop out of the nomination contest on Monday and endorse rival Mitt Romney, the Huntsman campaign said.
"He's going to endorse Gov. Romney tomorrow and urge the party to come together," one person briefed on events said.
A Huntsman aide said Mr. Huntsman was proud of his third-place showing in New Hampshire last week but felt his campaign was standing in the way of a Romney win in Saturday's primary election in South Carolina.

Will the “Republican” Hunstman now go back to being part of nobama’s administration?
Romney has 12 delegates and everyone wants a two man race yesterday.
Since when do we need to decide the nominee BEFORE South Carolina? Do Iowa and NH get to choose for the rest of us?
Let Perry have his shot in the South along with the others and let’s hope someone gets past Romney by Super Tuesday.
I really HATE this guy! Give to NEWT to stop the “win”.
“... if Skippy the Wonder dog was the nominee, or some Pagan ... I’d take the dog/pagan over Zero.”
Me too - well phrased!! Too bad though - true conservatives should have had more clout and there should have been better choices for us. Sigh.
Gingrich has the best mind/oratorical skills to beat Obama - he would make mincemeat out of Obama in a debate. Prioritizing, that ought to hold more weight in people’s minds than his “baggage”.
Anyone But Romney, however, if possible.
I'll bet those gorgeous, sexy Huntsman daughters already have hired show biz agents who -- even as you and I aimlessly dawdle away our time on FR -- are negotiating with the networks for TV careers.
Maybe they'll have a reality show, maybe they'll do political commentary à la Megan McCain and Liz Cheney, or maybe they'll follow the Bristol Palin route and start dancing with various stars.
In any event, I think we haven't heard/seen the last of them -- not by a long shot!
Talk about arrogance.
His presence was standing in the way of maybe the waitress delivering lunch, but in the way of any one that is in the Presidential race? hahahahaha
Where do these rich people get the idea that they can become President?
His rich Mormon daddy bought him the governors race in Utah {I've done business in Salt Lake and I think that Mormons do well in Utah politics}, but he can't buy it on a National level.
Add to that the fact that he was obummer's appointee to china and wrote long hand love letters to the bummer, and there you have a recipe for failure.
He does have a beautiful family and he will not miss any meals so life won't be all that bad for jonboi.
Rofl!!
A little news for all the Freeper Huntsmen supporters:
Withdrawing Huntsman takes parting shot at GOP field
By Stephen Dinan
The Washington Times
Monday, January 16, 2012
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. dropped out of the Republican presidential race Monday and endorsed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, but not before firing one last shot at the rest of the field, accusing them of running a race “not worthy of the American people.”
The parting shot was in line with the rest of Mr. Huntsman’s campaign, which was defined by bashing fellow Republicans for trying too hard to win the party’s conservative voters rather than appealing to a middle ground.
..yes, it does appear that someone got a phone call—maybe a couple...
Dunceman drops out.
Huntsman will ride that Purple Chinese Motorcycle off into the sunset or at least back to the bunker in SLC.
