I lived in Chicago and fairly near to where MLK had his not so 'non-violent' marches. Behind him and some other 'Rev's' in the front lines were nothing but black gang-bangers, just itching for a fight with the white locals. And they got it.

I’ll take the side of the contrarian here. What MLK did was a blessing to the black people. He promoted equal status. His marches included the “I am a man”. placard. Blacks sat in the back of the bus. Many establishments did not serve blacks for no good reason other than bigotry and hatred. What MLK did as a civil rights promoter was good while the private person was fallible. It took the government to screw up an honorable idea “that all men are created equal” and turn it into the Affirmative action abomination we have today. I think we can agree, two wrongs do not equal a right.
