The Mossad worked for months to stage the assassination of its latest Iranian nuclear scientist target last Wednesday, The London Times reported Sunday.

Quoting unnamed Israeli sources, the newspaper said that well-trained team of agents working in Iran set up the bomb attack on Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan, a scientist at the Natanz nuclear facility. He also was involved in missile development.

Israel has publicly said it knows nothing about the killing, the latest in what has been termed as “Israel‘s secret war” that has pinpointed dozens of scientists and officials who have died in mysterious airplane crashes and in street assassinations the past three years.

The closest Israel came to admitting involvement was a comment by IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gants to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee last week, where he said that there probably will be “unnatural” events in Tehran this year. His statement and the leaks to the Times indicate as wanrings to Iran that Israel can undermine the regime from within the country and provide enough information to help it stage a military attack.

I personally do not believe there are squads of Jews running around Tehran blowing people up.

I do believe ALOT of money and tech is flowing to Iranian groups from somewhere. Could even be Saudi Arabia. Cheaper to assassinate than start a nuclear weapons program from scratch to defend yourself from Iran.

Not the Saudis. Why would they? They are exporting so much oil that every one of them is practically a millionaire. However, the Saudis may be giving monetary support.

Can guarantee the Saudis are not going to sit idly by and allow an aggressive regime like Iran become a country now not only aggressive but bristling with ICBMs.

Cheaper to pay people to knock off scientists than start building nukes for deterrence and then blame Israel .

Actually there are about 25,000-35,000 Persian Jews living in Iran, most live in Tehran. There are several synagogues in Tehran, Yusef Abad one of the most prominent.

Certainly possible for the Mossad to recruit a handful to assist with covert activities, though if I had to bet on it, I'd say the guys doing the most risky part of these jobs, the guys on the bikes planting the bombs, are probably just anti-regime Iranians wanting to do something to damage the regime's most precious nuclear program that maybe don't even realise that their operators are the Mossad.

Maybe, maybe not. There are plenty of formerly Iranian Jews in Israel who preserve their language and culture well enough to train covert operatives to blend in. I'd expect there are Mossad teams intimately involved in this effort, and I wish them God's blessings and great success.
