Actually Juan was pretty humble in his defeat.

“Actually Juan was pretty humble in his defeat.”

It’s funny that FOX did not pan back to Juan’s face when Newt received a standing ovation.

Juan Williams is just the kind of typical NPR elitist snob type that Newt was talking about.

Looking back, I am not entirely sure that he didn't tee up that ball for Newt. After all, he KNOWS Newt, and he knows he isn't PC. Hmmmm.

Someone on last night's debate thread mentioned that Juan likes Newt, and judging by how "stoked" Juan was after the debate (he clearly felt it was a really good one!), I wonder if Juan didn't throw that question at Newt with the hope he would do what precisely what he did--hit it out of the park!

The question was definitely "low and inside"--but I think Juan might be more than a little tired of all those "white liberals" who are so full of the "soft bigotry of low expectations" that they don't realize how much damage their policies have done to the once-strong and family-oriented Black community.

Newt DOES realize this--as his response to Juan's question so brilliantly displayed. And--again from Juan's mood after the debate--I don't think he was upset or angered by how well Newt handled his "pitch".

True.

But his endless "poor blacks" racist schtick has become unbearable.
It was way past the time for someone to hand him his butt on a platter.

I wouldn't be surprised if Newt expected Juan to play the race card on MLK Day and was locked, loaded and ready for it.
