Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer sat down with Fox News Bill OReilly and opined that Newt Gingrich won last nights debate in fact, he won big. Krauthammer criticized Mitt Romneys mediocre debate performance and was incredulous at how the former Massachusetts Governor wasnt prepared for a question on his tax returns. How could he not have prepared a nice short succinct humane answer about what he did at Bain? Krauthammer perplexedly exclaimed. He didnt really have that he kind of stumbled around.

OReilly wondered why Romney was apprehensive to explain his capital gains tax policies. I dont know what they are afraid of, I think they are intimidated by the press, OReilly observed quizzically. I really think the press intimidates Romney and some of the others.
I dont know if its the press, Krauthammer replied. But he simply doesnt have the capacity to explain with some color and sort of force conservative ideas. He is a businessman. he, you know, he looks like he is chairing a meeting of the board
.Why didnt he say in the debate last night: Look, when the Democrats, the ones who supposedly are the ones who are the champion of the Middle Class or Working Class took control of GM and Chrysler, hundreds, thousands of people lost their jobs, dealerships were shut down, the Pontiac and other lines were shut down. You have to do it to save the company to enable it to survive and then to grow it as it is now beginning to grow and restore the jobs.

EXACTLY! What in the world do he and his advisors do all day. How could he not have seen this coming?
I thought that last night though, how inarticulate Romney is. If it’s not a canned answer he flounders.
Which is why he has no business going up against an ideologue who does "have the capacity to explain with some color and sort of force" the ideas of redistribution.
Krauthammer has been slow to come to admitting the obvious fact that Romney doesn't "explain" conservative ideas because they are not part of his intellectual DNA, as they are with someone who has immersed himself/herself in the ideas of America's founding history.
Gingrich quick analysis of opposing ideas, combined with an ability to put them in historical context, didn't just come about by osmosis. They came about through a lifelong study of history.
By the same token, the Fall 2012 opponent has studied, been mentored in, and well understands the ideology and strategies for presenting his case for redistribution, government planning, and control--all the while masking them in benevolence and "taking care" of those to whom he appeals.
His Republican opponent needs to be able to rebut, rebuke, and reveal the cloaked tyranny encased in his appealing message to those who see him as a benevolent leader, not a threat to their posterity's Creator-endowed right to be free.
Unless it’s something he’s passionate about - government health care plans and cap and trade bureaucracies for example. His heart just isn’t in to liberty and free enterprise.
Sorry to have to say it, but at this critical juncture, your apt description is soon to fit Rick Perry and Rick Santorum also.
Krauthammer is correct. Romney doesnt have the capacity to explain force conservative ideas because he’s not particularly conservative.
Romney doesn’t have the b*lls to do what this country needs done.
The past 24 hours have just been fantastic!
[he can no longer convince the general public that Romney is a good debater]
Actually, Romney is a great debater, one of the best. If you mean at the high school or JC level where you are called on to take a side at random.
Romney himself believes in nothing but expediency, his lack of conviction oozes out of each sentence. Newt may be a flawed human, but one reason he comes over forcefully is he believes what he is saying. Ditto Perry, Santorum, even Paul.
If we were electing a used car salesman, Romney would do just fine.
All of you have got to see this:
before this is all over, I expect every single conservative sellout to say something to that effect.
It may not be until after he secures the nomination and then shows his true liberal colors, or it may not even be until he gets destroyed by Obama in the general when the base stays home. But mark my words every one of these turncoats will publicly express regret for backing Romney.
Love the reference!!
I think he thought there was more to Romney than everyone has by now found out ~ guess he didn't realize that some very wealthy businessmen are elementally DISHONEST.
Romney is not a conservative and would lose his ass to Obama.
If nothing else, RomneyCare = ObamaCare.
Hey, this all just snuck up on Mitt- he's only been running for President 9 or 10 years- what do you expect in that short time frame?
He's been a major player in the Republican establishment that's been trying to shove Romney down our throats.
Don’t want to hear whining from Krauthammer. He’s been a major player in the conservative establishment that’s been trying to shove Romney down our throats.
Ditto...A day late and a dollar short. Phooey!
Of course Romney can’t explain conservative ideas, he doesn’t undrstand them.
20 Print Romney is a vapid dork.
30 Go to 10
Come on, that's not old school basic!
10 PRINT "Romney is a vapid dork!"
20 GOTO 10
It sure took him long enough. Not only is Romney a horrible speaker-—robotic speaker....his ideas are right in line with the Communist Manifesto-—including hierarchy of gender——and sodomy is “good”. Romney is as creepy as zero.
