I was dead tired and went to bed around 8:00. I’m still dead tired. Mr S has a dr appt in Pittsburgh this morning at 9:30. We have to be gone by 7:00 if we want to take our time. Sounds like the roads might be slick. Man, I wish I could sleep!

Wish I had seen Sarah and Levin on Hannity. Maybe it will be posted on YouTube or somewhere.

Well it's been a fun night here at work!

Check this thread when you get the chance.

'Strange sounds' heard WORLDWIDE -- what is it?

I heard the same sound twice overnight! I have recorders running now in case it happens again.

OMG! That’s creepy sounding! I went to bed right after I posted. Wish I’d stayed awake awhile longer. I might have heard it too. Have you heard it since?

Good Mornin'!

There were three times, each about an hour apart. The first one was loud, the second not so much and I can't be sure of the third. It seemed faint.

If you watch the video in the thread it sounded EXACTLY like that. I was spooked, LOL!

There are videos somewhere of Sarah and Levin on Hannity last night. I'm not sure she endorsed Newt as much as said she'd vote for him at the moment if she was in SC.

Sort of the same as me. At the moment I could, MAYBE vote for Newt of Santorum...BIG maybe on both. Not thrilled with either one. Just have to wait and see how things play out.

Getting worried about the coming storm and one later in the week.

Hope A.M says how it is where he is.

Waves on Lake Superior are over 20 ft, 16 ft on Lake Michigan near Milwauskee.

Roads near PGH right now are getting slippery. Haven't seen any road crews out yet. Be careful gettin Mr S to the doc!

The wind was blowing so hard here for several hours. It would have been hard to tell that sound from the sound of wailing wind. Also, our furnace makes a humming sound. I’m going to have my ears pealed though!

We’ll be leaving in about half an hour. I hope the sand/salt trucks are out by then. The road from Elderton to Kittanning is all hills and curves! Not too bad once past Kittanning and on to Pittsburgh.

Driving home the roads weren’t bad but Demetrius said it was worse to the east so be careful.

Good morning n’at! Boy was the wind awful...and we have a little squall coming thru right now. Be careful sneakers on your trip to the Burgh.

Now to the sounds... I visit a site called “Above Top Secret” everyday. They have two on going threads—one on the caldera at Yellowstone, and a rapidly updated thread (posters watch USGS) on earthquakes.

Now some of the threads are looney...but for quite awhile they have has breads on “the noise.”. We have heard it out here and talked a out it; listened to it. We have considered fracking, mine subsidence (we have a lot of pyrite here too). It’s not a mechanical sound (like anything on TPike). I have been afraid to mention it. It sounds harmonic...and creepy.

Yup! Not a mechanical sound. It was really weird. Wafted thinking about it all night it kind of reminded me of those vuvuzela things but not buzzy. It’s hard to describe. At first I thought it was someone moving a desk or equipment. But it had a kind of musical drone that increased and decreased in volume.

I’m going to keep a Mike recording for thee next few nights and hope to catch the sound.

Just getting to tune in to Q&R now.

Didn’t you mention hearing that before? It sure is a strange sound! The more I think about it the harder it is to describe. Waiting for Mrs p6 to get out of the shower so I can tell her. Often she can’t sleep and may have been up and heard it too.

There are some recordings on ATS and a lot on YouTube. Last night, my day off so I was home, the wind was so bad that 14 y/o commented “at least we know that is the wind.”

What we have heard consistantly is like an echoey horn, no distinguishable rythm, but a creepy harmony. Does not sound like metal or a beat...last time it was noticeable was when kids were off on Christmas break...that Thursday or Friday night.

Now on the other site I have read of sky quakes; chem trails; UFOs; military planes and the fallback to everything, HAARP.

One of the reasons I posted so much on the thread overnight was to get as much detalpil about it down before I got too busy and mymemory dogged.

Echoey horn...yeah..that’s pretty close.

BTW I still can’t stand this predictive spelling!

One more thing... It to hijack the Q/R thread but...there were a couple of nights last summer where we heard it (we needed a new pump motor for AG pool so we didn’t open it last summer, and our yard was spooky quiet.). I think you are right about me me mentioning it now that I think about it...i think it was around the VA EQ time. I think I was spooked and then EQ happened that afternoon. Let’s see what happens seismically the. Ext day or so.

PS I read the first page of the FR thread on sounds you linked to...LOL’d on the haunting of your building by Jimmy Krenn. Will read the rest later.

One thing is for certain, I heard something. It was so strange and startling I went to investigate. That was a good half hour or more before the FR thread was posted. Of course that creeped me out more.

It seems to me Jim or Rose mentioned something about this too last year. It may well have been around the time you mentioned it!

Yup have it...works GREAT!

I am having a problem installing new apps. I think I used up all the available space. Time for and SD card. Might pick one up today. IIRC I read on one of the forums to be careful about moving storage to SD cards because it's tough to move back, if you ever want to.
