Just how do you explain to your 5 and 3 year old princesses that they can’t go to see Cinderella’s castle?

You tell them their betters need the park more than they do, and to get used to it.

I worked there many years ago, while in high school and college. Worked in Merchandising (the Camera Shop across from the emporium) then Characters, then finally in Deposit Operations underground. Don’t know if all those things are still around...

Where do you work?

Maybe it's a campaign stop, to campaign against his competition?

Isn’t it disgusting? If the GOP doesn’t jump all over Obama’s commandeering of Disney World for his exclusive use - at great inconvenience to all vacationers and employees - and use it at every opportunity, then they’re just plain STUPID.

I am entering this reply from a Disney Vacation Club Resort.

A note was left in our room last night, describing changes to theme park operating schedule, only for Thursday, January 19th. The time changes listed indirectly suggest that you should visit another park on Thursday. Extended hours and fireworks will be offered at locations other than the Magic Kingdom.

The note does not mention Obama’s visit at all.

I was at the Magic Kingdom today. There are a lot of families running around with pre-school age children. I think you can imagine the headache when these families attempt to visit the Magic Kingdom tomorrow. The security line alone should be a nightmare.

I did file multiple complaints with the hotel staff. I asked them why the Democratic Party had priority over paying guests with small children. I also asked why the memo left in my room was a blatant lie that didn’t describe what was really going on to their paying guests. I have yet to get an answer back.

If you’re here visiting the park, be sure to file a complaint. When you file the complaint, be sure to make someone take the complaint. Don’t let the employees brush you off to Disney’s useless “guest services” department. If you know of someone who’s visiting the parks, be sure to have them file a complaint.

We called Disney yesterday to complain. They offered to cancel our reservations OR give us a free park-hopper pass. They must have been deluged with complaints because Disney typically doesn’t offer to make changes or accommodations.

Guests will be required to use a back entrance so I asked Disney why they were giving the “back door” treatment to a once in a lifetime visit for a child.

I have been encouraging others to file official complaints.

Last night, I was talking to one couple that realized their fight out of Orlando would conflict with Obama’s departure from MCO. I watched as another family explained to their child why she couldn’t visit Mickey one more time on Thursday.

Hopefully, this total lack of concern for the guests will give Disney management a well deserved headache.

There’s also another opportunity to complain when Disney sends out their “how was your visit” survey.
