MadisonToday Governor Walker announced he will not pursue the implementation of a health insurance exchange and has turned down Early Innovator Grant funding from the federal government. The Governor also will repeal the executive order that created the Office of Free Market Health Care.
I have directed the Department of Health Services to notify the federal government that we will discontinue any development on a health exchange and that Wisconsin will turn down funding from the Early Innovator Grant program, said Governor Walker. Stopping the encroachment of ObamaCare in our state, which has the potential to have a devastating impact on Wisconsins economy, is a top priority. Wisconsin has been a leader and innovator in health care reform for two decades, and we have achieved a high level of health insurance coverage without federal mandates. When job creators and Wisconsin families are facing difficult times it doesnt make sense to commit to a federal health care mandate that will result in hidden taxes for Wisconsin families, increased health care costs and insurance premiums, and more uncertainty in the private sector.

Good Gov.! Wish Michigan would follow suit.
Walker is a stud. Walker could be daring the Left to make 0-care an issue in the recall election.
Wish we had more (R) guvs like him.
Spine of steel compared to most of our (R)nancy boy guvs.
Thanks Nachum.
As I’ve said before...
Walker for president, damit!
Why aren’t we running this guy for president?
This guy rocks.
Hopefully he will become POTUS.
Wisconsin ObamaCare Funding Ping — go Walker!
If you want to be on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list, just FReep Mail me and it shall be done.
AMEN to that! Or at least, could we please borrow him here in the People's Republic of Illinois to clean out the stench?
Wow. Someone was channeling his inner Orwell when he came up with that name.
Doubling down. Walker is not going to challenge the bogus petition signatures. He seems to want the recall election to get in the left’s face and to offer spine training to other officials around the country.
Because we in Wisconsin won’t give him up!! :-)
Walker has cajones of steel.
Woohoo!!!!
