Begin Sex Ed in Kindergarten, Says New ‘National Standards’ Report

(CNSNews.com) – By the time they leave elementary school, children should be able to “define sexual orientation,” and by the eighth grade be able to “define emergency contraception and its use,” according to a report containing controversial new recommendations for sex education in U.S. public schools.

“Ideally, comprehensive sexuality education should start in kindergarten and continue through 12th grade,” says the “National Sexuality Education Standards” report, drawn up by a range of advocates, academics and public education officials.
The Future of Sex Education (FoSE), an initiative started by sex education advocates, developed the standards “to create a strategic plan for sexuality education policy and implementation.”

Also involved are the American School Health Association, the National Education Association Health Information Network – the non-profit arm of the nation’s largest teacher’s union, the NEA – the American Association for Health Education and the Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education.

An advisory committee includes senior officials from Planned Parenthood and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

The 45-page report determines “age-appropriate” guidelines for comprehensive sexuality education in the areas of anatomy, identity, pregnancy, sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs) and others.

“Specifically, the National Sexuality Education Standards were developed to address the inconsistent implementation of sexuality education nationwide and the limited time allocated to teaching the topic,” reads the report.

The authors argue too little time is devoted to instruction in HIV, pregnancy and STD prevention – a median total of 3.1 hours in elementary school, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In its rationale for sex education in public schools, the report says there is “a pressing need to address harassment, bullying and relationship violence in our schools, which have a significant impact on a student’s emotional and physical well-being as well as on academic success.”

Standards to be introduced in kindergarten and be met by the second grade include: “Identify different kinds of family structures” and “Demonstrate ways to show respect for different types of families.”

Recommendations for students by the time they reach age seven include that they [u]se proper names for body parts, including male and female anatomy” and “[p]rovide examples of how friends, family, media, society and culture influence ways in which boys and girls think they should act.”

Starting in the third grade, and upon completion of the fifth – when most children are 10 years old – students should be able to “[d]efine sexual orientation as the romantic attraction of an individual to someone of the same gender or a different gender” and “[i]dentify parents or other trusted adults of whom students can ask questions about sexual orientation.”

By completion of the eighth grade, the report says, students should be able to “[d]ifferentiate between gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation,” “[e]xplain the range of gender roles,” and “[d]efine emergency contraception and its use.”

Upon completion of middle school, students should be able to “[a]nalyze external influences that have an impact on one’s attitudes about gender, sexual orientation and gender identity”; “[a]ccess accurate information about gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation”; “[c]ommunicate respectfully with and about people of all gender identities, gender expressions and sexual orientations”; “[e]xplain the health benefits, risks and effectiveness rates of various methods of contraception, including abstinence and condoms”; and “[d]escribe the steps to using a condom correctly.”

And by the time they graduate from high school students should be expected to “[d]efine emergency contraception and describe its mechanism of action” and “[a]ssess the skills and resources needed to become a parent.”

Also included in the guidelines are the following: “Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of abstinence and other contraceptive methods, including condoms”; “Access medically-accurate information and resources about emergency contraception”; “Compare and contrast the laws relating to pregnancy, adoption, abortion and parenting”; and “Describe potential impacts of power differences (e.g., age, status or position) within sexual relationships.”

The report includes a glossary that defines gender expression, gender identity, gender roles, and transgenderism. “National Resources” for teachers, listed in the report, include GLSEN and Planned Parenthood Advocates for Youth, an organization that supports federal legislation for comprehensive sex education policy.

While the standards include references to abstinence, the FoSE advocates against abstinence-only programs. “Today, as the pendulum swings away from abstinence-only-until-marriage programs, advocates for comprehensive sex education are challenged to remain vigilant on the policy front, making certain that we maintain gains against this failed effort,” FoSE says on its Web site.

FoSE lists Focus on the Family, Concerned Women for America, Moral Majority and the Eagle Forum as groups that “spearheaded campaigns to discredit comprehensive sexuality education.

Amen to that, I remember going to public school K-3 grade, and they were telling us how to have sex in 3rd grade, thats when I got pulled and put into Catholic School until 8th grade, when I knew more about right from wrong, and went back to public school.

Eighth-grade students should be able to “[d]ifferentiate between gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation,

You know, I'm not sure I could do that today. And this is the 45th anniversary of my eighth-grade year.

THE PENN STATE STORY Probably there were regular PS “densitization” classes under the guise of “erasing discrimination”.......with a hidden agenda to make child sex acceptable-—which explains why Paterno and other PS insiders were not unduly alarmed.

BE AWARE There is a HUGE push to normalize pedophilia-—they have been organizing for years. When one pedophile surfaces, you can be sure there are many others lurking around.

Keep in mind, these evil souless predators are amazingly persuasive — and take pride in their ability to dupe people without displaying their true nature.

People are easily taken in by these calculatedly charming, persuasive predators. Pedophiles entice their victims by gaining their trust.......the same way they get people to cover for them. The judge in the notorious Penn State case actually let Sandusky go free-—another sign WRT how easily predators dupe people into being their willing enablers.

REALTIME CAUTIONARY TALE It was recently revealed -—— an alarmed mother found Sandusky took her son out of class without her permission on three occasions. When she approached the school, she was told she was being unduly alarmed, b/c, school officials reminded her, “Jerry has a heart of gold. “ The mom insisted they call the police. But the braindead dupes talked her out of reporting it b/c “that would hurt poor Jerry,” they said.

REFERENCE Even left-leaning college administrators are starting to have second thoughts about the excesses of “gay-friendly” atmospheres on campus........these pedophile-havens have held numerous “homo-sensitivity training” sessions on campus......(read indoctrination).

Penn State’s prez Graham Spanier-—a human sexuality scholar-—actually held what he called a “C***fest” on campus and installed a special tent just to indoctrinate WRT homo sex practices.

Spanier is out as prez-—but he and his wife are still on the PS payroll as tenured profs.

Spanier also advocated wife-swapping——could be the reason why M/M Spanier are still getting paychecks-—they must have some hair-raising stories to tell WRT group sex play on the PS campus.

drawn up by a range of advocates, academics and public education officials.

Change the wording to what it should be: drawn up by a range of perverts, deviants, and genitalia-obsessed Planned Parenthood officials.

THE PEDOPHILES AMONG US-—IN OUR SCHOOLS

SHADES OF PENN STATE This vile organization-—Planned Parenthood—— exhibits all the signs of avid organized pedophiles. They are in our schools K-12 sniffing around the genitals of young people.

We need to know how many of these PP types are connected to
pedophilia organizations-——and have been convicted of pedophilia.

THIS JUST IN PPhood’s newsest atrocity is texting children——a sex “educator” employed by Planned Parenthood—the organization that works constantly to drive a wedge between
children and their parents-—will be texting your children withoutyour knowledge or consent.

THE PEDOPHILE CREDO Planned Parenthood Federation of America has proclaimed a right to sexual enjoyment as a basic human right for all people, including children, and is pushing that goal in every arena, including schools, community groups, and particularly the United Nations. It hires children as young as 14 to promote sex to their peers, and one affiliate recently posted a job listing for a state-funded peer educator position that requires that the teens must attend the annual gay pride parade in order to work for PP.

When Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey held its annual national sex educators’ conference, it promoted a website pushing such resources as “Unequal Partners, Teaching about Power and Consent in Adult-Teen and Other Relationships.”

Planned Parenthood is actively involved in trying to push the boundaries that separate and protect children from sexual activity.

While this particular texting program has launched in the Denver area, it may well be a test program with plans for nationwide expansion. Parents must be very vocal in their

opposition to Planned Parenthood texting their children. You can monitor your children’s phones for texting by noting the program’s acronym and number. The Planned Parenthood “In Case You’re Curious” contact info is obtained by texting ICYC to 66746.

There’s already been a big fight over teaching about “gay families” in kindergarten in Lexington, MA. The gaysbians won, and concerned parents lost.

The “gays” have ALWAYS been after the children, but it is not politically correct to point that out!!!!

“drawn up by a range of advocates, academics and public education officials.”

In every case this combination of groups is guaranteed to produce nothing of value for the human race.

A range of squirrels, hamsters and porcupines would probably have a better chance of creating something intelligent and useful.

The “gays” have ALWAYS been after the children, but it is not politically correct to point that out!!!!

Being politically correct is a sin,
"Omission" is here taken to be the failure to do something one can and ought to do. If this happens advertently and freely a sin is committed. Moralists took pains formerly to show that the inaction implied in an omission was quite compatible with a breach of the moral law, for it is not merely because a person here and now does nothing that he offends, but because he neglects to act under circumstances in which he can and ought to act. The degree of guilt incurred by an omission is measured like that attaching to sins of commission, by the dignity of the virtue and the magnitude of the precept to which the omission is opposed as well as the amount of deliberation. In general, according to St. Thomas, the sin of omission consisting as it does in a leaving out of good is less grievous than a sin of commission which involves a positive taking up with evil.

But I think teaching about sin isn't politically correct. SIGH

Government out of education now! This is a deliberate perversion. The education norms have been replaced by mental health programs, sex ed programs, family reachout programs, breakfast lunch and dinner programs, childcare programs and most importantly an agenda of propaganda, revisionist history, global warming, progressive liberal politics, marxism, communism, socialism, diversity, affirmative action, teaching activism and lawlessness to reach your goals.

at 24 I’ve been out of publik skool for quite some time but I remember the start of alot of this trash. Most of my peers (and myself for that matter) would have been alot better off if schools had spent less time on pc trash and more time on reading (classics not school grade romance/femminist novels), writing, history, thinking, and math.

My generation and the one before me got gypped pretty hard and I can’t imagine how bad it is for kids now.
