This would be great. I like Perry! I think he is a good man. He may even be President one day.

With just hours to go until S. Carolina votes, I hope the Perry folks vote for Newt. He’s basically in a statistal dead heat with that liberal sack of crap Romney....put him over the top Perry voters, please.

Just announced on FoxNews—Perry is suspending the campaign and will endorse Newt.

Perry is doing the right and noble thing.

And Newt will not forget this.

Its about time he dropped out. May be too little too late and i do question his endorsement of Gingrich. Talk about a guy who was almost as bad as Huntsman when it comes to political instincts.

Well, there’ll be 20% fewer people on the stage tonight for the debate.

I’m sure he has earned a cabinet position in the immediate future if he wants it. He is walking away with honor and enduring respect here.

This is huge IMO. Perry may have had 5% of the vote, but 95% of the people like him and respect him. He had some bad debates, some bad advisors and the bad luck of being the next cowboy from Texas after a disasterous previous one. But he’s a good governor and well respected.

So much for the Perry stalking horse theory that has been peddled here.

I like Perry, but why would Newt pick someone who is polling around 4% and not even positioned to win his home state?

I applaud this decision by Perry. I like the guy and respect him even more now. Perhaps in the future he will be called to serve the saved republic in national office.

I’m not over joyed but I think this was the only option left.
I, like Mr Palin, was hoping the process could continue.
Otherwise, thank you Mr Perry.

I thought Perry and Santorum were supposed to be the ones getting the “evangelical vote.” If so, you might expect him to endorse Santorum. Does he know something about Santorum that we don’t, or does he just think Santorum can’t win?

Don’t trust just two sources. Perry about to announce dropping out. Holding my breath, hope he endorses Newt.
