Vice President Joe Biden had his oops moment Wednesday speaking in a 49er-crazed San Francisco when he told a crowd at a city political fundraiser that the Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl.
Biden spoke at a closed event in the citys financial District at the Bently Reserve when he made the gaffe, according to a White House pool report released today. The comment by Biden drew immediate good-natured boos from the crowd, according to the report by Josh Richman of the Oakland Tribune, who was the only local print reporter allowed to cover the event.

My name is Plugs ... and my I.Q. is about the same as room temperature ... providing you've got the windows open and it's a cold day.
His whole life is an “OOPS” moment. He is simply a moron and yes, Joe—the Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl!!! What an idiotic statement in view of the fact that every other week Obama is holding fund raisers in New York City—Dumb and Dumber for sure.
Maybe he got confused with the baseball team.
Any one keeping a list.
I think OB needs Shillery to bring his base in line.
He has always been “confused”-doesn’t take much-comes naturally to him.
“Stand up, 49ers! Good to see you! Oh God love ya, what am I talking about... I’ll tell you what, you’re making everybody else stand up old pal...”
They’re revving up for the Super Series
Another cheesehead.
Biden’s gaffe reminds me of the time in 2004 when John Kerry spent the day hopping around different mid-sized Ohio towns giving campaign speeches at airport rallies. At the end of the day he had one final stop in Michigan. Kerry started off his speech there, as he had at all of the day’s previous stops, celebrating America’s fall sport traditions and wrapped up these remarks by exclaiming “Yeah, there’s nothing like Buckeye football!”
All of the assembled Democrat supporters in their union jackets looked back and forth to one another and then started to jeer the Senator. Realizing his mistake, Sen. Kerry backpedaled furiously but under pressure was unable to come up with the word “Wolverines” instead explaining weakly that he also admired “Big Blue”.
Karl Rove must have peed his pants on hearing this and sure enough a few days later Pres. Bush campaigning in Michigan said in his remarks “Well, I heard Sen. Kerry came here the other day and praised Buckeye football. I don’t guess y’all were expecting that!”
The bottom line for politicians is don’t fake it. If you don’t know, shut up.

"Dude...wait...whut?"
...and Joe Biden has earned a trip to the Stupor Bowl.
I remember Obama in Pennsylvania, proclaiming his love for the Nitally Lions.
... and who can forget the Wee Wee in Wisconsin telling the locals how he was a loyal Packer Backer and loved to watch his team play at Lambert field.
John Kerry did about the same thing (Ohio St. -- Michigan) in 2004.
WINNING!
Gotta be the stupidest Sumbich ever.
. . . about like Teddy Kennedy’s “Mike McGuire and Sammy Soozer” comment . . . .
You mean Shillery, the “I’ve always been a Yankees fan.” Shillery?............
I hope he’s wrong..........
“It’s great to be here at Lambert Field!”
*wink* *wink*

"This could very well be the stupidest person on the face of the earth."
Equally dumb and in the crowd reporter to cite Joe “Gaffe” Biden for only a single flub. Gee, you would have to limit the time frame to no more than an hour to pass the laugh test.
I think she would keeps the dems together and bring in some who are disillusioned with OB. Sets her up for 2016 run.
In my fantasy world, I’d be a high school math teacher tomorrow, and I’d ask my students to calculate the number of ways that somebody could confuse a city’s team with their opponent from another sport, among the MLB / NFL / NBA / NHL teams.
Extra credit for additionally noting Tampa Bay Buccaneers / Pitsburgh Pirates confusion, and Nets / Jets / Mets mismatches.
2012: GO CARDINALS!
It reminds me of the time when
Al Gore told a Chicago audience “How about those Bulls. That Michael Jackson sure is something”
That being said, Biden, for the first time in his life is right.
That is exactly what happened!
