i agree with you somewhat - but i didn’t come up with the story/just stated that we have to be used to fending off attacks re his character flaws and temperament if he is the nominee. don’t jump down my throat!

Gingrich couldn’t fight back — because Clinton knew of his multi year affair and nailed him on it during impeachment. the GOP was wounded because its leader was wounded.

[to Hinckley Buzzard] "are you always this insulting in a discussion?"

When reviewing your first puerile contribution to this thread at #9 (for which you were thoroughly smacked around for, and rightly so), our good FRiend Hinckley was not at all insulting, in fact I don't think there is such a thing as being "insulting" to a "concern troll" like you.

Here are your choices:

Mitt Romney - the king of flip-flops, the 'un-Reagan' by his own admission, 'he lost to the guy who lost to 0bama'. 0bama is pouring socialism down our throats by the bottle, Romney will serve it in fine crystal goblets. No REAL conservative votes for Mitt-Witt.

Rick Santorum - good guy, good values. can't get traction despite winning Iowa after a recount. He never got as much support as Rick Perry did at one point, what makes anyone think that's going to change? (and I like Rick Santorum too)

Ron Paul - that's not the name of a candidate, that's a punchline, a left-leaning libertarian with a big (R) after his name. That loony-tune goofball has as much chance at becoming President as did Pat Paulsen, but if you think having Dennis Kucinich in a Ron Paul Cabinet is a good idea, then he's your guy.

Newt Gingrich - a proven winner, embraces and does not run from what Ronald Reagan stood for, a street fighter who will not take any crap from the media, the left-liberal unintelligentsia, or from the Kenyan turd currently stinkin' up the White House. He will dismantle 0bama on live TV, and the 'Rats fear this more than anything else.

Now reevaluate the flawed neurons bouncing around in your head as an alleged logic circuit and man up and just tell us which one of the above candidates you're going to support? ABO don't cut it babycakes.

For one...after John King was embarrassed and humiliated by Gingrich yesterday evening, I would expect the MSM to minimize the number of opportunities Newt will have to lay the wood to their rhetorical backsides.

I saw a clip of a post-debate with John King; he didn't seem embarrassed or humiliated (although I do hope he was) and seems to think it was his duty. I would expect more MSM idiots take their turns.

I don't think I contradicted myself. there several aspects to consider. (1) Topics are not 'flat'. There are hierarchy to it. Hence, people's answers in survey to questions on which topic would be the most important to them. In debates, the first question usually sets the tone for the whole evening. (2) I think some issues are relevant only to certain candidates, hence, I think it's fine to ask specific question. However, such specific question should not be put at the beginning precisely because it pertains to only one person. By making it the first question, John King tried to put Newt on defense all evening, perhaps hoping that other candidates would join him attacking Newt, but he failed.

And, no. Newt's complain included '...the first thing that you (John) asked'. It implies the importance of first question, as I mentioned above. There is no doubt that the topic itself may be questionable, but his answer includes also the order of the question. And we cannot make a claim that the audience boo because it's the first, or the issue itself (more likely, both). In any case, my opinion is my own. May or may not be the same as the audience.

Apologies if it sounded like I was “jumping down your throat”, your post sounded like a typical media soundbite.
