Vietnam Vet Randomly Attacked By Teens On Olney Street (Philadelphia){PC COVERUP HEADLINE}

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Vietnam veteran who lost his eye while serving his country was violently beaten during a random attack by a group of teens on a Philadelphia street earlier this week.

The attack happened shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 5000 block of N. 5th Street in the city’s Olney section.

“These animals are specializing on our elderly people out here and a gentleman who served our country,” Lt. George McClay said.

According to investigators, 64-year-old Edward Schaefer was walking to meet his wife at the bus stop when he was approached from behind by six males.

Can anyone honestly say that if 6 white thugs had so visciously attacked a 64-year old black vet we would have seen a headline including:

During the 1960"s black gangs were responsible for a lot of brutal attacks on people. My husband and I were victims of an attack. Not really sure what changed to make black neighborhoods safer or whether we just were clever enough to avoid those neighborhoods.

Today, when I'm in the city, I make sure that I never leave my vehicle without checking around me for gangs of youth of any color.

It's important today to be proactive as well as reactive.

Frankly, I’m tired of this crap. How much are citizens supposed to take? If the government doesn’t defend it’s citizens, replace the people in power with those who will.

Eerily similar to what happened to one of my father’s best friends some years ago. Harry was in his sixties, minding his own business while waiting at a bus stop in SF. Four black males set upon him in a “random” attack, after beating him they splashed gasoline on him and set him afire. He spent many months in rehabilitation and skin grafts, and lost the use of his left arm. Random means he was white, his attackers black. BTW, my dad left Philly because of bad conditions there.
