It's 0930 EST and there's nothing in the sidebar that looks like a live thread for the SC primary . . .

TOPICS: Breaking News; Politics/Elections; US: South Carolina
KEYWORDS: gingrich; newt; noobama; paul; romney; santorum; scprimary; southcarolina

It'll be of especial interest to hear comments/observations from FReepers on the ground in the Palmetto State as the day progresses.

Our last day with the last two conservatives together, Newt and Rick in the race.

One-on-one: Newt versus Willard the Lib the rest of the way, is my prediction.

(Nutjob Paul will only hang around for laughs.)

Awww, thanks !

Problem is, now there'll be 3,000 pings 'tween before the night's over and I'll seem like a troll who doesn't respond cuz there's much painting on my day's agenda !

Anyway, I hope the good folks in SC give the RINO cowards and the media traitors as SERIOUS an ass-whoopin' today as Newt gave that eunuch King the other night !

Have fun, y'all

If Newt! wins decisively, the Gingrich economic recovery will begin almost immediately ....

Business owners anticipating the rollback of the socialist legislation will turn optimistic and will begin hiring and investing.

The stock market will begin repositioning over the next couple of weeks with alot of volatility and then begin a slow, steady increase.

Interest rates will pick up with the increase in economic activity, but yields will begin to return to savings & CD account.

Newt! needs to be prepared so that he gets credit for the turnaround.

</End of my optimistic speculation>

The way Ricky’s been ripping Newt and Willard ALL this week, I’d say he endorses nobody.

Which is fine. We know where a lion’s share of his supporters are going to. (To Newt’s camp)

It’ll keep people who aren’t seriously voting home, like Ron Paul supporters.

But, I dont’ think it’ll keep those who care about the future of their country home. These people will walk through a war-zone, if necessary.

I think it will add to Newt’s possible lead.

Just my quick two cents, for what it is worth!!! All voters in South Carolina should get their butts in gear and go out and vote today!!! A very large turnout will insure two very important events. Number one, it will make certain that Republican Party quest for a POTUS nominee will be a long haul and go well into the summer, at least. That’s great for the Republican Party as they will control “the message” rather the the “Obamabot Lamestream Media” and the Obama campaign spin!!

Just as important is the essential, critical message a large turnout will send to the rest of the country and the Obamabots!!! If a lot of Democrats vote today, it really only means one thing, they do not like Barack Hussein “Muslim Brotherhood Lover” Obama. Why? They cannot “contaminate” this race. We want tons of votes for Newt, Mitt, Rick & Ron. We want this show to go on for a long time and keep beating up on un-American, America hater, would be America destroyer, Obama!!!

So.....if you believe in the America of freedom, liberty and opportunity for all citizens, get out and vote today, and.....demonstrate your support for the America of greatness!!! And......keep in mind, regardless of your political leaning, that this upcoming election is like no other this nation has witnessed. POTUS Obama is systematically destroying America, and...if re-elected, free elections could disappear and the Obama statism will rule as the tyrants they would become and are!!!

Wake up, Americans, POTUS Obama comes from the roots of the likes of the Mufti of Iraq and the Muslim sects that so easily embraced facism and dictatorship rule. Obama is one of them. A little history research about Nazi/Muslim cooperation will clearly reveal both the path of Hitler, the Mufti Muslim sect and the takeover of Germany by the Third Reich step by step, exactly as Obama is now doing!!! You best open your eyes!!! With Obama, America is headed toward an ugly state it never dreamt of becoming!!! Get out and vote today in South Carolina!!! A vote today for any of the Republican contenders is a solid vote against POTUS Barack Hussein Obama, a man, that in his evil heart hates this country and “all” citizens within it!!!

Polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is an open primary (Dems can cross over and do their mischief). Delegates (25 total) selected by Congressional District (2 for each district, winner-take-all within the 7 Districts), and then the remainder being statewide.

“The weather in South Carolina is horrible. Tornadoes and rain and just nasty weather. I believe it will keep people home.”

It won’t keep Republicans home but it will keep the Democrats and Independents home who were going to go to vote for Romney. They will think, “Oh, forget it, it’s raining.”

I think this is a God thing - He sent the bad weather to keep this a Republican primary.

You might be right. If conservative Republicans win big in November, the U.S. economy will boom--the trillion-dollar debt notwithstanding. It'll be the safest place for scared money to hide, and the market will hope that the Republicans will figure out some way to resolve the staggering debt crisis.

"Newt! needs to be prepared so that he gets credit for the turnaround."

He had certainly better be. The Democrats and their operatives, especially in their Propaganda Machine (the MSM, of course), will try to take credit for it and will say that President Obama's strategy is beginning to work.

Santorum is still feeling the sting of what the Establishment GOP did to him in Iowa by declaring Romney the winner and then taking their dear sweet time getting an actual final tally that said otherwise.

By all rights, it should have been his victory, his headline, and his momentum. Team Romney, which is the Establishment, stole it from him with said dirty tricks. Most people still believe Mitt won Iowa, and that is not by accident.

Santorum is clearly mad about it, and he should be. The question is: does he recognize why he wasn’t given his full Iowa moment, and who is responsible for that?

Yieks. Not fun. Glad you are ok. Hope Newt is doing well. I am watching Fox News and all they have is Romney time. At a polling place there is Romney signs all over the place. I was actually shocked by how many people were voting (I would say over 200 people if not more). The place was PACKED. It seems like they have food there too. How nice for those folks even though it is probably being paid by Romney. I hope Newt has something like that going on. Although he is in good shape, anything to get the folks out would help. A nice breakfast would be a nice way to start your day while voting.
