For two years it’s frightful to watch tornadic storms build over Texas and wreak havoc over the more Eastern states. It’s usually Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas get the storms at 4pm so everybody west has warning but now we can only warn y’all since we don’t get them anymore, y’all do, and AT NIGHT.

Prayers and get those weather radios.

It will be on me in about 30 minutes. Giving the dog her “chill pill” as we speak. She goes crazy during thunderstorms.

My daughter and granddaughter visiting relatives in AR right now.

I'm not trying to make light of it, but we have a really good warning system here and it's early enough that the word will get out via TV, radio, weather radio, word of mouth and neighbors helping neighbors...should be fine...material damages suck but lives are the important thing here..

I'm glued to the coverage, and I see potential but no hook echo anywhere.

We err on the side of caution for early warnings in AR.

Crap. I hate being by myself when this happens. They just increased the torcon for Memphis to 8. Looks like I’ll be sitting up reading on the couch all night. They’ve got Mike Seidel reporting now a few blocks away from me. Stay alert and safe... everyone in its path tonight.

Late night/early morning is the WORST time!

We purchased an excellent weather radio (hat tip to Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit) on sale a year or so ago. It only alerts us to what is in our area...instead of half the world around us. Lol...

Pay attention all the way up into Indiana and Illinois. The tornado threat is limited up this way, but there will be some phenomenal winds. With the saturated ground and the snow melt on top of that, we could see a lot of trees tumble in the area tonight. Plus, after a overnight high around 50 in Indy (higher south, lower north), the temps will go down to low 20s tomorrow night, freezing any standing water.

Still, it’s better than 3” of sleet.

Be safe Freepers...I can’t believe how fast the temp went from really frigid to just freezing today...

Thank you, win...and thank you for the thread and alerts...I’ll get my weather radio out. I wouldn’t be such a ‘fraidy-cat being by myself if I could just SHOOT an intruding tornado. :-/
