Saturday, January 21, 2012

SAN CARLOS, Calif. -- A company founded by Neil Young is facing a lawsuit over a fire in the San Francisco Bay Area that authorities say started in a vintage car the rocker had converted into a hybrid vehicle.

The San Jose Mercury News reports that Unigard Insurance Co. sued LincVolt LLC this week, accusing the company of negligence for converting the 1959 Lincoln Continental to run on electricity and a biodiesel-powered generator.

He’s an expert on Electric Model Trains. No reason it won’t translate to a Lincoln.

It is possible that the storage company had a rule against storing flammable liquids such as gasoline along with storing vehicles.

Yes he likes his trains. Maybe was hoping to transfer that technology into automobiles. He should have consulted Boxcar Willie.

As it turns out Neil Young is leveraging his Lionel Train experience modelling the new California Rail System.

Of course, we all know Neil Young is worth hundreds of millions and is insured to the hilt, so this means nothing to him.

Re: your pic in #9/

We now know from that fiasco in England, that the weak point of the POTUS limo is the suspension.

I could not find the specs, but the builder is using either air or hydraulic suspension. Either way, the lines to the struts are exposed as well as the struts themselves.

It can handle anything. Except a four inch curb. It’s a POTUS metaphor.

Sounds a bit like another Lincoln.

I like the bit about flames..:^)

I had flames coming from out of the side
Feel the tension, man what a ride
I said “Look out boys, I've got a license to fly”
And that Caddy pulled over and let us by

All of the sudden she started knocking
Down in the dips she started rocking
I looked in the mirror. Red lights were blinking
The cops was after my Hot Rod Lincoln - Damn

The arrested me and they put me in jail
Called my pappy to throw my bail
And he said “Son, you're going to drive me to drinkin’
If you don't stop driving that Hot Rod Lincoln”

I like my trains however, what I know about model railroads, I wouldn't use it in real life. (My model layout is an updated version of the New Haven Airline and Midland branches. The Airline branch was abandoned in 1960s, the Midland branch was abandoned in 1973.).

That said if Mallory ever offered me to run CONNDOT, I would refuse since I don't have experience in running real trains.
