Texas Ranchers Using AK47s to Defend Against Cartel Invaders

Stand with Arizona

The border is "safer than ever". So says DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano. Again and again.

Barack Obama has mocked those who say the border is unsafe: "Maybe they'll need a moat. Maybe they'll want alligators in the moat. They'll never be satisfied."

But for Texas ranchers in the Rio Grande Valley, the border has never been more dangerous. And they are stocking up with the hardware to do the job that the Feds refuse to do - AK47 rifles to defend their property and lives from border violence.

Barbed wire fencing doesn't keep illegal aliens off the property anymore. One Starr County, TX rancher doesn't have time to worry about the illegals these days. He now worries about the smugglers protecting their loads.

"I don't think they would have any conscience of taking someone's life," the rancher says.

He saw that will to kill firsthand. A smuggler shot at him on his own land.

"One round was fired at me, and it missed my head by about two feet," says the rancher.

He says there's only way to react.

"Fire all the rounds you have, reload, and do it again," says the rancher.

The local Armory Gun Store says business has been brisk for AK-47s and AR-15s from "countless" ranchers reporting break-ins and home invasions. But this rancher said no matter how many guns they buy, they will always be "outgunned" by the cartels.

I guess these ranchers didn't get the memo from Obama and Big Sis that their border is "safer than ever".

What will they want next....a moat?

I wonder if the farmers and ranchers get to deduct the Class III license fees as business expenses?

They wil have to hire gunslingers, just like in the old West. Plenty of army and Marine veterans to do the job for the right price.

Need to spread stories of all types...true or not... If the gringo american goes crazy on the border, they might hesitate to risk a crossing if “citizens gone rouge”....can’t hurt.

I agree, No one in their right mind would attempt to cross a mine-field... We should take down the fences & mine 800m on our side of the border.

Where are the Texas Rangers? They should form a new unit of free men—Minute men—or better yet—Sons of Liberty. Mormons once had (or may still have) The Danites to protect the people of the faith.

Same for Muslims terrorist types. In fact...

It’s sad that so many reloaders have taken to creating ‘Soul Takers” IE custom made rounds filled with pork blood that release the contents into their victim rendering them unable to enter paradise.

Sad, sad, sad thing indeed that this has been quietly going on since shortly after 9/11. Why, I hear it’s a regular underground economy. Some estimates place the number of these special rounds at over 10.5 million. And they are so easy to make! Thousands more every day and the rate keeps rising with every act of terror!

And that’s just private citizens. Who knows how many have made their way into law enforcement and the Military? All those private citizens armed with these ‘Soul Taker” bullets. Why, poor jihadists just don’t know if they will make it into heaven or not when they attack an American these days.

Damn shame that...

;)

Lol...exactly....rancher: I have killed 6 zetas, a couple coyotes, and 25 invaders so far...if they can find the bodies, I’ll be glad to go to jail.

Ranchers should ride around a few times a day throwing single sticks of dynamite near the border...good visual plumes and sounds...lol. Get crazy gringo!

Yup. Psyops works both ways.

The problem is that when the Cartels start bringing Santaria and their Lady of the Dead cult crap into the mix, it’s going to get even uglier.

But the “Soul Taker” bullets are real though ;)

Thanks for the reminder of Obama’s inane statement about “alligators in a moat” on the border, which he thinks the conservatives want to see.

For an allegedly inspirational intelligent man, Obama has said some absolutely idiotic things, such as this.

It’s a very secretive process that requires membership in one of the secret societies to access directly. That’s how we’ve managed to hide it from the Muslim jihadists and CAIR for so long you see.

I just got a catalog from Sportsman’s guide. One item that I’d not seen before was a device for making rounds loaded with FMJ bullets into rounds loaded with hollow points. Seems to me you could use that, fill the cavity with the substance of your choice, and then seal the tip with a polymer of some sort. Probably could use silicone caulk in a pinch.

Thanks for taking the time to research that. Quite frankly, I was thinking that the other fellow was merely a keyboard-commando bragging about that topic.

Anyway, the muzzie victim would have no way of knowing he took a round with pig blood/grease, and thus there would be no purpose.

AK's require you to be up close and personal with these thugs. You need to keep back and engage them from a distance.

AI's new AX in .338 is just the ticket!

That's kinda what I was thinking. I wouldn't be using an AK. Granted you can put down some fire power but do you really want to be within a hundred or two yards of these guys in order to be accurate? Spray and Pray?

I nice 30-06 with a good scope or a .338 Lapua Magnum would be great a 500 yards...and they would never see you.

I hate to be the one to have to tell you this, but in that part of the country they could be 50 yards from you and you wont see them unless you spend all your time in a tower.

Lots of brush.

I live in Texas...familiar with the area. In college I worked for the Texas Ag experiment Station and we had cotton fields west of Weslaco. Depending on the place along the river, there is high ground. In places where there isn't high ground...I would consider clearing it or building a tower. I guess an AK might be a good brush gun if you have no other choice. But my point is this more general I guess than confined to THIS particular location: If given OTHER options...I would take them. Not every rancher along that border has flat brushy land to defend...and in places where possible...I'm sniping.

Make sense?

The work to be done on a ranch is done on the ground, not in a tower.

They aren't hunting illegals, they are simply protecting themselves while they go about their business of running a ranch.

It would be a nice little way to instill some ‘terror’ of our own against the jihadis and those longing to become one.

Imagine CAIR on TV screaming about ‘racist bullets’ and the mediaots out there 24/7 arguing that “Soul Takers” were an ‘offensive’ bullet and demanding that people stop making them due to cultural sensitivities.

As whacked out as today’s society is, watch some staffer at CNN see this thread and make us all famous. Or infamous racist islamophobic bigots. One of the two.
