In response to lobbying accusations from his opponents Newt Gingrich told me it would be "very helpful" if his former company, Center for Health Transformation, released the consulting contract he had with mortgage giant Freddie Mac before the Florida primary on January 31. "I think it would be very helpful and our attorneys are talking with the company. You know I left the company so, it's their decision and Nancy Desmond, the president of the company, has to make the decision. But I'd be very comfortable releasing them," he said.

Oh YES!
Romney just got Newtered AGAIN!!! Oh there’s no stopping Newton right now. He’s got the Newtmentum and the crowd behind him. Newt just says what we all think and isn’t it about time someone has the guts to do it. Go Newt!!!
“I see dumb people...
... they’re everywhere...
... they walk around like everyone else...
... they don’t even know that they’re dumb...
And...
Some of them... such as ExtremeUnction
...THEY POST HERE”
IBTZ
Outstanding decision!
I think at this point, it's the Republican Party that's the pig, and Newt's the nearest thing they have to lipstick.
IBTZ
O.O
I was on this thread earlier. I saw your post, but so many had already piled on, I figured I'd wait for the inevitable outcome.
PARTY TIME!!
That is begging to be re purposed with the Simpson’s “Ha - Ha!”
It sure is hard not to love Newt taking it to the Left and to the Rinos simultaneously.
Thank you Lord, for Newt, but please, help him stay on task.
Tatt
Gingrich is simply the smartest guy in the room.
He is out messaging and out maneuvering the slothful Romney, who moves at the speed of a large and unfettered bureaucracy.
Gingrich is the strike behind enemy lines, deep into the heart of the RINO Progressives with a twist of lemon media.
oops, barely missed the IBTZ... guess I am in the IATZ camp now.. :p
Looks like ExtremeUnction got ZOTTED with Extreme Prejudice.
They are falling like flies since Saturday.
Extreme Unction
Your tag name means “Last Rite” given to those who are about to die. Looks like Jim Rob is about to give you Extreme Unction. Bwaahaaahahaaa!
I was still in bed yesterday when I turned on my Nook Color to check email and FR. I couldn’t believe all the zot threads waiting for me. And that was on top of all the ones during the day on Saturday. Or during the week leading up to the primary.
Someone on one of those threads likened it to the great bug zapper thread, although that was one thread, these were many. But the shear number was impressive.

Agree, And it is sad to see some who go back to 1998.
They know this site has rules, but they feel the need to make a point, I guess.
I hoped they would join in for the political fight of our lifetime.
The MittBots have been fairly smart...closeting themselves and feigning their support for whoever was the weakest conservative in order to prop up Romney.
But, Newt outmaneuvering their Romney has just been too much for them. They cannot control their hatred for conservatives now.
ExtremeUnction = another idiot troll is ZOT!
WOW! Great Graphic!
See if you can guess...what I am now.
Clarence Thomas would be a "strike behind enemy lines". Newt, not so much. IMHO.
Awe man that would be something...
SWEET!!!
Newt ought to ask for 12 years worth of tax returns released. Ask Mittens if he wouldn’t want to be like daddy Romney who did the same thing in his political race for the Presidency. Then have MIttens appear to be less honest than his dad. Newt can release those years as well. Newters Romney!!!
It seems to me, FReepers who are still clinging to the ‘ideal candidate’ meme. They then rant about other FReepers “caving in”, or go overboard in attacking Newt or some other candidate.
As you put it, we’re in the fight of our lifetime. If this were just some other presidential election where the stakes weren’t so high, I’d likely be making my decisions based on idealism as well. But that’s not what we have.
Either we win this election or America goes down the tank. Two, we have a slate of four candidates from which to choose. One’s a complete flake and is closer to ‘truther’ beliefs than solid conservative values. One’s an outright liberal who’s been on both sides of virtually any important issue, and can’t be trusted with the job. A third, who has shown good social conservative values, but not as good as a fiscal conservative, isn’t inspiring, comes across petulantly, and doesn’t have anything going for him.
That leaves us with one candidate. He’s feisty, knowledgeable, willing to take on the media and the democrats, and connects with the voters. But he too has big negatives from a social conservative standpoint.
But, going back to the first point (America’s decline), it’s not hard for me to decide who I’m going to back. And I think many across the country are beginning to come to that same conclusion. For those who say ‘we can’t win with newt’ I say ‘Yes! We can!’ The public is showing we can. Let’s roll!!
He can’t be bluffing, he names nemes, ‘Nancy Desmond’ and who decides/who’s responsible, again ‘Nancy Desmond’.
All the media need do is call her and see if she got the Ok to release.

Newt is a veteran of behind the line strikes.
He brought the first GOP House Majority in nearly half a Century.
Contract with America....passed and executed.
Contained Clinton like we contained the Soviets...without Gingrich we may have had a Radical Obama like 90s.
He is proven, accomplished an presently in the face of the Leftist Media....about to go behind line again to defeat Obama.
He’s the best we’ve got right now, but I’m not going to join some “cult of personality” that attributes things to him that aren’t objectively verifiable.
Your post 69 is spot on. Well said.
You’re not my long lost twin brother, are you? ;)

Heh. If I am, what I know about my family history is all wrong...
Pigs are smart animals.
Bacon is my favorite food group, amongst other fine pork products provided by our portly porcine friends..
Sounds like an endorsement.
Love that one, and it’s swiped!
“but Im not going to join some cult of personality “
I have always found the “cult” meme a little unproven factually. There are some on here that think if a conservative gains broad support, and that person supports a candidate who has much less support...the “cult of personality meme” is used.
It’s an election. The goal is to gain the most support. That is not a bad thing unless we are determined to pick the perfect conservative (which never exists), but pick the utopian conservative and go out in a bang of purity with 5% of the national vote.
Gingrich is the only person who can defeat the money of RiNO Romney...and he is proving it before our eyes...and then he will kick Obama in his feminine area and put him in a choke hold to snuff the Radical Leftist out.
Amen to that!
Well EU, here's a lovely parting gift especially for you:
I don’t get this, what exactly is your issue with the guy?
Um...I have not studied his bio in detail, but from news reports, I am under the impression that it was during his time with Callista that he converted. Was he in fact a Roman Catholic before Callista? I don’t know, but perhaps should be looked at.
If he was a cradle Catholic, I can understand very well, that he could have been truly converted as he has stated.
The other thing which I have not substantiated for myself, but perhaps should be looked at is that there are ALWAYS two sides to every story. I have seen posted on this forum the explanation re his 2nd ex, that 2nd ex may have been involved in influence peddling.
According to others, the 1st ex actually was his high school teacher and he did not have legal basis to consent.
Food for thought and perhaps research
No, Gingrich married Calista first.
He attended Church with her weekly and started inquiring and reading...eventually, he converted.

Not all methods of “gaining support” work the same on everyone. My inclination to support a candidate based on a given argument declines in proportion to the amount of hyperbole contained in the argument. But maybe that’s just me.
